"Two stars because Aizhan (the server/person working at the cashier) did her absolute best to address the ridiculously lacking menu. Thank you Aizhan! I would not have purchased anything had it not been for her helpful and positive demeanor. If there were other HMS certified restaurants nearby - I would not go here. Didn’t have any other halal options. Details: The only items which are somewhat worth buying at the skyrocketing prices are any of the platters EXCEPT for chicken platter: “gyro” chicken tastes dry - so dry I am shocked it wasn’t sawdust… Initially went there after calling and finding out they have salad on the menu (a typical option at halal gyro/burger places) but when I saw what their “salad” contain…I thought it was a prank. “Salad” shouldn’t even be on the menu because it’s barely anything. Owners: consider adding baby spinach, maybe chickpeas/beans…corn etc as toppings to actually have a salad option. (visit your local fake-halal restaurants to take notes). Otherwise, please just get rid of it from the menu - what a ridicule!"
"So happy to see more and more places adopt HMS certification and be proud of advertising it on their front door. Also loved the clever marketing banner "No Mystery Meat Here." A lot of "Halal" restaurants make one feel guilty for even asking about where they get their meat from. As far as their service and food is concerned, they are able to prepare high quality, fresh food with relatively short wait times. Parking wise you only have metered parking on the street which is usually all full so best to go for take out unless you're walking it."
"This place is just okay. I appreciated the cleanliness of the place. The service was decent, but there was a small hiccup with my order. I ordered garlic Parmesan wings, but I'm almost certain I received lemon pepper wings instead. When I pointed this out, there was a bit of debate, and they insisted it was garlic. While they weren't terrible, they weren't what I had ordered, and I wish they had taken steps to fix it instead of debating it. It seemed like the cashier may have simply claimed it was the right order to avoid dealing with the issue initially. I did notice him later double-checking with the cook, but by that point, I had decided to let it go. My husband ordered the original burger and said it was it okay and lacked some flavor. Overall, Sheikh Shack was okay, but it could have been better."
"Ordered the lamb over rice, the lamb was very juicy and tender. $9.99 pp. Would definitely return to try out the burgers and other menu items."
