"I wouldn’t ever bank with them. They won’t admit any accountability and when ask for phone recording they somehow can’t get it but can get notes? Makes 0 sense. Run the other way guys they are not for y’all"

"Would NOT recommend Ally for investment accounts, though they are good with respect to online savings. Just moved my investments to Schwab since Ally was a debacle. You cannot set your DRIP (automatic dividend reinvestment) on/off yourself for securities (unlike all other major brokers) and instead have to call, speak with a rep, then wait interminable times for their "work order" to be done. I kept having reinvestments made for DRIPs I had directed them to turn off (3x), then I asked for 1 stock's DRIP to be turned off and Ally turned it off for the entire account. 15 days later, still not turned back on and receiving cash dividends and no reinvestments despite 3 requests, 2 chats and 2 calls. Horrible."

"The worst brokerage EVER. They blatantly manipulate bids, especially on options. Always shows a higher price, and when you go to sell price ALWAYS driven lower by 5-10 cents. They are blatantly selling info to market makers and ROBBING clients on EVERY SINGLE TRADE. They're lucky I'm an idiot and still have open options. If not, I'd pull my $ ASAP. Already opened an Interactive broker account. Waiting to close my positions to never use this GARBAGE SERVICE."

"Ally Bank invest Auto however you want to call it. Was it good business at first but after you pay off your loan they will never let you out of the loop nor do they even know what's going on if you want to get some paperwork to track what had just happened as far as the past three or four years they just it's like a fast food loan place. Steer clear vote with your dollar"

"BEWARE: These guys are horrific, not dependable & with 1 hour+ hold times for basic customer service...totally unacceptable! I just moved my trading account away from them and will never go back! Countless times I could not access my trading account because their platform was down & there is nobody to talk to unless you want to wait on hold for over an hour each time you call. I kept giving them multiple chances to get their act together until I realized nothing was changing. When I tried to move my account they would not allow it because I had an ACH deposit in the last 6 business days. Because they wouldn’t transfer my account, I got a margin call but didn’t want to satisfy it because they would have held my account again due to ACH deposit. So Ally randomly chose my best stock holding to sell in order to satisfy my margin requirement without EVER consulting me first so I could tell them what stock to sell. Instead they sold my prized stock holding at their own whim. This company is seriously terrible. I never take the time to write these reviews but I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. How this company thinks they can keep customers with their lack of dependability & horrible service is BEYOND me! Go to larger service oriented platforms that have way more tools & trading options anyway like Charles Schwab etc, with rapid customer service and no down times!"
