"It depends on who is at the counter. Sometimes, you get your money's worth . With the portions they serve. The $5 or up lunch deal."
"SLACKNESS! I went in to order a vegan roti today (just potatoes and veggies), and I come to find out that the roti had meat in it! Had I not opened it I would have never known. They music have pulled potatoess from the pot with meat. If you couldn’t do it, SAY THAT. Cannot be trusted. Hole in the wall trash establishment"
"I am very disgusted!! I bought stew peas soup and found hair as I started eating. It was my first and last time eating from there."
"I've been coming here for breakfast for the past few weeks. The young lady and young man taking orders always greets the customer with a friendly good morning. I always get the saltfish and banana, and it is always constantly delicious. If you're looking for a great home cooked breakfast like grandma use to make Joyce's is the place."
"Outstanding, it's an unassuming space near the middle of the block from the Utica and Ave. D corner that I've been coming to for years. You enter toward the back and seating is to the right, do not let the look fool you the food is top quality Trinidadian fair. I've had so far the chicken and goat roti's. Like a good roti the rot (dhalpuri) is super moist but flaky and absorbent. The filling should be moist and not dry...the potatoes usually soak up insufficient sauce...theirs is just perfect. Also since there is rarely a line you are sure to get your roti pretty quickly. Highly recommended."
