City Cafe Diner

"We stopped in Cleveland to take a driving break and this was just what we wanted. A nice clean family diner with a large selection. The portions were good and the food was very good. The chicken soup and potato soup were delicious. Our server was a young guy with dark hair. I don’t remember his name but it began with a B. He was excellent! Very attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Started all good. First time customer breakfast easiest meal of the day started off my coffee cup stayed empty for close to 10 minutes wasn’t really that busy. then all the hype, of hearing how good their food was and everything well when we get our food which was two waffles for a five and 4-year-old , Two over easy with country potatoes, city, ham, and a gravy and biscuit when it finally did get there it was all cold the four and five year-old ate their waffles, cold and hard. Personally, I don’t like a cold breakfast but the server was nice enough to offer to microwave it for me really not a good experience on the way out happened to pass the manager who I told about this just had this uncaring smirk on her face. She did say something about if you come back well I won’t be back, and if I were any of you, I would rethink and check somewhere else before I continue to dedicate my business these people"

"I used to live in the area of this restaurant and loved their Greek selections. So while I was traveling through the area, I made a point to stop! They have a large selection of foods that are sure to provide every customer something they’ll love. ( I did not check for vegetarian or vegan options but feel pretty certain they would have some) I got the dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) that came with a fresh Greek salad and pita bread. Don’t let me fail to mention the CHUNK of feta on top of the salad!!! They have many incredible cakes and pies to choose from for a dessert at your meal or for events you can just grab one and go! (See the photos!) I had the baklava cheesecake. Did you hear me??? BAKLAVA CHEESECAKE!!! I also ordered a slice of the Oreo pie for my son. They give you a very generous piece! WELL worth the $8.75 they charge. Because not only is it a huge slice, but it’s fresh and absolutely delicious! My server Heather was very pleasant and offered help with selections. It want real busy at the off hour I was there, and she allowed me the space to enjoy my meal in peace but also providing the service I needed. If you are passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop here!"

"It has been years since we had the opportunity to eat in a diner and what a treat we were about to have. The menu was impressive and full of options for anyone. You could eat here every day for a month and choose something different each time. The décor and cleanliness were in order as we entered. They were busy but that did not delay our prompt seating and service. The sweet tea was delicious, and we enjoyed the bread appetizer while we decided. Everyone found something they wanted but I was in for a super treat. I am Greek and had no idea that I would see a menu with several Greek items available. My choice was the Greek Combination Platter, and it was outstanding. The portions were huge and at such a great price that I understood why it was so busy for a Monday evening. This meal would be easily sharable for a couple and the feta cheese was flavorful. I had no room for dessert, but the wall of treats was too much for my girls to avoid. They decided to share a piece of Baklava Cheesecake and bragged about how good it was. I think I gained ten pounds just looking at the display and will stop again when in the area. The ownership has done a great job in executing their vision and I wish them many years of success. The menu was diversified for many tastes yet classically designed for the diner-lover inside each one of us. OPA!!!"
