"So this was my first time there actually. So I’m writing this review solely on what I saw. There was a family seated a few tables away that consisted of a father and 2 toddlers. About 10 mins in, the waiter started rushing the father to place an order (which he already did). I believe he placed something small which probably wasn’t “up to their standards”. The waiter (which I believe is the owner) then came up with this “30 min time limit per table” which btw, was not given to me and I was there well over 30 mins. The father grew frustrated as I would have too! I just thought that was completely unprofessional, and honestly turned me off from wanted to return to that place again."

"My husband and I go here often for breakfast or lunch. The food and atmosphere are great. But what is truly awesome is the staff. If you are lucky enough to meet Mike and his wife Lula, you’ve hit the jackpot! They are welcoming and wonderful! Cannot recommend George’s more highly!!"

"Overview: INCREDIBLE, classic NYC diner! I would recommend dine-in, as the environment is great, it is rarely crowded, and sometimes delivery will give you soggy food. Every item on the menu is great, but especially the classics! (BLTs, Cheeseburgers, Bagels, Eggs, Coffee, ETC) Service: The staff is incredible kind and food gets delivered quickly. Expect an 8-15 minute wait from putting in your order to receiving your food, about 4 minutes for drinks. There's one specific waiter, an old woman, and she is one of the kindest people I have ever met. My family only goes once every few months, but she recognizes us, seats us in the same booth, and greets us with a huge smile each time. Food: As I said, dine-in eating is ideal for warm and crispy food. Sometimes, ordering will cause items, especially fries, to become very soggy due to the packaging they use. It's tolerable, but un-ideal. Recommendations: If you like diner classics, this is a great spot. Some more unique gems from here include the Brooklyn Hot Dog and the desserts."

"I’ve been coming here for years. Since the eighties, in fact and this is the first time I thought to leave a review. I love the food and service here. Family oriented and wholesome. I come for Mr salmon salad and I’m good. For give the pic. I ate half my meal before I realized that I didn’t take a picture. Trust me, it’s very good! Highly recommend!"

"YOU MUST GO HERE! We visited from the uk and stayed in Brooklyn for three days and some locales recommended George’s. We loved it so much that we went for breakfast on all three mornings of our visit. It is always busy and sometimes you have to wait for a table (especially at the weekends). It it is well worth it. The menu is extensive with traditional New York style breakfast, the food is tasty, portions are massive and the prices is very reasonable. However the places biggest asset is the staff, extremely friendly and accommodating. I cannot rate George’s highly enough!"
