"Beautiful place quiet peaceful beautiful and when you see people down there which there's plenty on the trails they're always courteous and polite great place"
"A great place to walk around and spend a couple hours. Learn some of the history before you go and you'll enjoy it even more . Check out the museum in the visitor center!"
"Enjoyed this park. We were able to bring our small dogs. This is the only place I have ever been that let you bring your dogs into the buildings as long as you can carry them while you are there. Very informative museum with colorful displays. Nice trails and huge dog park. They have covered picnic pavillions for reservations and plenty of other picnic tables for an impromptu picnic."
"We had such an amazing time at Sycamore Shoals in TN. It was such a beautiful area. The videos were so informative. The displays were realistic and had info on event. The fort was cool. Loved walking the path next to the river, hubby even done his workout on the equipment. We took a break and set on the swing. We walked through the flower garden and up the hill to museum for one last look before leaving the wonderful state of TN. **the ladies that were working in the museum were so nice."
"First off, this park is not extremely large. It consists of a few easy trails near the river, the fort, visitors center, a flower garden, and 2 historic homes that are stand-alone in other areas of town. This being said, I really do love this park. It has lots of history and is a good respite from the noise of the city of Elizabethton. I am constantly going for walks in Sycamore Shoals. I also see more butterflies in this park than most of the other places I visit regularly. I will admit that I am possibly a little biased due to my family ancestors being connected to Sycamore Shoals and the mustering of the Overmountain Men. I spend most of my time listening to the water, photographing around the park, especially butterflies, and looking for animals. I really have not had a really bad day at this park."
