"Had a nice table for 6 in the back of the dinning room near the fireplace. We all selected items from the fixed price restaurant week menu. The place was busy on a Friday night so service was just adequate. The food was good overall but the chicken was dry. The acoustics are awful and it is very loud to the point where it's difficult to hear the conversation at your own table."
"atmosphere is quaint and cozy, service was great... our meals were decent (steak & pork chops) though the cut could have been better. desserts were outstanding we couldn't choose which to try so we tried a few! 4 to be exact and all were impeccable! plan to be back even if just for the dessert we'll done!!"
"I came here to celebrate my birthday. Everyone I know who had gone here said the food was good but nothing to write home about. But none had gone to dinner so I wanted to try it out especially with all the good reviews. First no one informed me about a fee for bringing in outside desserts, the fee was $25 which is honestly high when most restaurants on Staten Island do not do such a thing. They didn't even cut the cake so what did I pay for? The food was okay, like people have said. We ordered a few apps the best was the beet tartar. I got the ragu which was fine. My friends let me try their food; we all enjoyed the pork belly and the steak was decent. The food is nice but compared to the pricing honestly not worth it. Our server was nice and came around often. She gave nice suggestions. The food came out promptly as well as our drinks. The atmosphere is the best thing about the place. Great for pictures and a nice relaxing environment. Overall do not see myself nor my friends coming here again. Unless its for drinks and apps!"
"Good octopus. Nice oysters my friends had. Decor inside was very aesthetic and warm cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly and the runners were very nice and efficient. Free bread is always a plus. We started off w drinks they were nice and strong. Non alc tho, is palmers I was not a fan maybe cause the thyme.. Oysters were cool the lil tabasco sauce was so cute. Pasta wheel mac and cheese were nicely cheesed w short rib an 8! Fried burrata were crunchy cheesy but was a bit of a chew. Risotto had wayyy too much wine flavor almost like it got poured in with no water added to balance. But the scallops in it were amazing.! Octopus was nicely grilled and had a goos texture and the garnish of tiny potatoes and tomatoes were amazing, minus the pickled radish? Bathroom was pretty, clean, and two."
"The Richmond has this effect where you look at the price points and think, this is somewhat steep and when you food and drinks arrive, you realize it's a solid choice! I ordered many small orders: the happy hour oysters, French onion soup, beet and quinoa salad, and coffee to finish. The ambience is modern with touches of gold and brass to lift up the plant flora motif which have a stylish casual feel for dates and small dinners with friends. The oysters were shucked clean and none of them were murky but fleshy, smooth, and briny. All were a great size and crisp. The French onion soup was a touch over salted but had the crunchy melted cheese and delicious thick beef texture that's just the right amount of comforting. I loved the spicy ginger cocktail that had a puckered punch and Tajín like sales rimmed on the glass. The beet and quinoa salad was filling but the yellow and red beets felt really over soft and didn't feel like they were fresh roasted or pickled, but still a refreshing hardy salad nonetheless. Additionally, it could've used more goat cheese and felt like pre-packaged crumbles. The restaurant started to pick up at 6:30pm and patrons reached from families, to date night crowd, and was more of a white crowd. The server was informative and kind, steadfast with clearing the table and refilling water. Over all the meal was tasty, enjoyable, and a lovely semi-fancy modern take in Staten Island. Outdoor dining sounds like it could be a beautiful option too."
