"What a lovely short hike to this waterfall. Parking lot shared with South Toe trail. Very specious. Just cross the bridge towards Black Mountain Campground and take a left turn towards the trail. Easy hike even for small kids with a rewarding waterfall."
"Simple falls set off of South Toe River. Easy trail with some roots and rocks at the end of the trail. Parking is right across the forest road from Black Mountain Campground. Walk across the bridge and bear left on the trail, which is well marked. Note that a trail to Mount Mitchell starts out along this same trail."
"Nice water fall to visit. You have to park in a parking lot and walk about 20 minutes to the fall. Shallow water allowed me to get in the middle of the creek to take pics. It’s shaded to whole way so no worries about sunburn. There is not cell service once you pull off of the Blue Ridge Parkway so keep your bearings in check."
"Great easy 10-15 min. hike with nice shade; shallow water allows you to walk right up to the falls if you have water shoes. No restaurants nearby, no cell signal, but no highway noise. Trailhead is inside Black Mountain camp ground."
"Super cute little waterfall. Of course the water was freezing but really refreshing. You can come here for camping or you can just park in the parking lot and walk the 10 minute hike to the waterfall. At 5 o’clock on a Wednesday it was dead so I had the whole place to myself. It was really clean and chill, I’d recommend it!"
