"WARNING!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! Do not buy or use this company! My Mother bought an item her stove. It was the wrong size. They did not want to give her money back and did offer an exchange. In fact the lady threaten to call the cops on my MOM! Big Mistake! Do not use this dump!"
"Manufacturer listed them as Authorized Repair but yet AFCO didn’t know they were. AFCO called to verify and asked if parts were still available for my VinoTemp. Once verified, I left my unit and the diagnostic fee just to find out that they can’t get the parts anymore? How is that possible if they just asked two days prior? Allegedly they never specify my model # but just a general inquiry as per AFCO but yet I’m responsible for the diagnostic fee and their mistakes for not asking for my specific model. Total rip-off and took my money potentially knowing that my unit can not be fixed or not willing to fix it… BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE"
"My 13 year old electric dryer was making a noise that sounded like a metal belt scraping every time it rotated. I knew it had to be fixed and put it off for as long as I could, well I called AFCO and had a repairman out the very next day, and it was one of the BEST calls that I made. For less than $100, my dryer is quiet now just like it was when it was new. The tech also remarked on how clean my lint filter was, maintenance is the key. Thank You"
"The place is a total rip off. I recently brought my vacuum cleaner in to have the belt replaced as I knew that I got something caught in the vacuum and had the ripped belt in my hand. Accordingly I brought it in to replace the belt. When I gave it in he charged me $20.00 for a bench fee which I paid. I went back the following day to pick it up and he said another $5.00. Meanwhile I said that I gave you $20.00 yesterday for the repair and he said the $5.00 is for the cost of the belt. This really upset me because he already knew what was wrong and the cost of the belt. He should have charged me the $25.00 up front and be done with it. However to add insult to injury, when I picked up the vacuum he told me that the brushes were no good and couldn't be replaced because they weren't available any longer and that the vacuum was basically no good. The gentleman saw this when he took it in and should have advised me of the fact. I am now out $25.00 and had to purchase a new vacuum cleaner at Home Depot. GREAT JOB AFCO at beating customers out of money."
