Reviews of Statesville Greenway - Gregory Creek Trailhead
"We parked at Museum Road Trail Head. After you go over the stream on the little bridge, take the left hand trail...the blue trail. It's new and nicer than the trail to the right. You feel the woods more."
"I drove past here unexpectedly. When I Googled it, I discovered I missed a $1 entry fee day. The pictures looked like costumed interpreters... I came back the next day, bringing my camera. Weather was beautiful, Fall colours were coming in. The site is peaceful, and serene. Of course, I was the only one there... I strolled the grounds, taking pictures to my heart's content! :) I loved seeing the details of the log frame joinery. There are several large, and several small buildings-- because they are unchinked, you can see inside to get an idea of what the building may have been used for, and to take pictures. I would love to come back when there is an event!! I also want to go down the hiking trail-- many people take their dogs for walks in there."
"As greenways go-- this one needs some work in my opinion. It is quite functional in that I got a good walk in-- but I think it could use some beautifying. The creek needs some work to make it more pleasant to be around. On a good note- there were some very nice decorative touches along the way."
"A bit muddy from all the recent rain but very peaceful walk. Easy trail. If you bring your dog be careful as some spots along the creek are steep. I'll go back soon."
