"Dislocation is one of my favorite locations for the views and for the park amenities which include grills picnic tables and a scenic view of the Nola Chuckee River and only 3 MI down the road is a campground with restaurants and camping areas"
"Beautiful place to have family and friend times or noce for a romantic walk by the water!"
"We are new to town and we're looking for some creeks to check out. This creek definitely did not disappoint we will be spending a good amount of time here. Update: went back this morning for some me time. It was a beautiful morning and I was the only one there which was a bonus. I went and sat on a rock in the creek and just took in nature. I did find some twisted tea cans that were left behind, which I disposed of. Please clean up after yourself."
"Absolutely stunning views of the river, picnic tables and facilities. The tables are under a nice canopy of trees and have a grill, bring your charcoal. Pack it in Pack it out! Spend the day or a few hours, this place is relaxing and close to nature as one can get."
"Just found this spot, wanting to take our golden to swim in another location that's blocked access. Someone suggested this park and it's perfect for what both my dog and I needed. It is only 1.5 miles off of 26 in Erwin, TN about 20 mins from the outskirts of Johnson City. Parking was easy and the gentle slope from the parking lot to the river was easy to access although maybe difficult for those who have difficulty walking, not wheelchair accessible that I could see. There are bathroom facilities by the parking lot and a sign that says watch for bears - I brought bear spray. The trees are trimmed back well enough to see the water from the parking lot and anything that might be lurking on the ground or in the woods from parking your car to the river. We went on a weekday afternoon and there were a few others on the beach. The water and beach was clean of debrie, no seaweed or brush, there's a gentle current but it was manageable for my dog when we went. A little further down from this park is an area where kayakers drop their kayaks, a rental place at the turn of the road by the bridge - looks like a small shop/hostel. This is our new favorite spot, just wish I found it earlier in the summer as next week the highs will be in the 60s. On Oct 1st, the high was 91 and the water was perfect. This part of the Nolichucky is up against the mountain, and not a lot of traffic that goes past the upper road. Beautiful, peaceful and if the Fall colors were out, it would be breathtaking. We'll be back again before it gets too cold. Highly recommended for those of us who have dogs who love to swim!!"
