"Groovy place with a maze of service roads. We found this old gravestone."
"Nice quiet state forest, kinda lacking in hiking trails but the gulf coast trail through the center of the park was extremely quiet and pretty. Lots of Backcountry primitive camping spots, horse trails and a hiking trail that leads to the Appalachian trail. The road leading up to the forest is pretty rugged tho."
"Such a beautiful place. But there is one way in and one way out. You will need a truck or bigger suv(no car). Couldn't go all the way in because of big holes in the road unless you have 4x4. We was in there for around 3 hours and seen only 1 truck. NO PHONE SIGNAL in there either. make sure someone knows where you are before you go."
"YOU NEED AN SUV OR TRUCK to get there safely! Stay on the main road don't take short cut. We never made it all the way a mile away there was a huge dip. There was a bummer from a car all ready there so we did try to wreak the rental we had."
"Amazing scenery, free camping, lots of nature, water, and peacefulness. Can’t go wrong if you choose to enjoy this forest!"
