Reviews of Cuts & Slices
"Qnz location is dope. I’m a frequent flyer lol. Last time I went I purchased three pies Curry oxtail, jerk shrimp, and Thai chili. Each and everytime the pizza is always on point. Staff is friendly and assertive. This pizza shop will be around for a very long time."
"This was my first time coming to Cuts & Slices, I had them before when my sister and bro-in law ordered and had a friend pick it up from BK. The food is great, even reheated it's still soooo good. The thing that was a complete turn off was 1. communication between workers was bad cause the slice I really wanted was the sweet oxtail slice and they said they didn't have any more, even though one was in the oven but I didn't know at the time. 2 People who came after us was getting their pizza before us, as they got to the 9th person after us I had to go and ask what was taking so long. That was when we realized they never put our order in even though we paid already. When it was finally ready I asked the girl if they had more sweet chili oxtail she said yes so I ordered a slice since that was what I really wanted and a seafood slice for my husband. The food is amazing but they need a better system cause when we came in it had just cleared out so there was maybe two people in front of us and we ended up being in there for 40 minutes total smh."
"We were excited to try these Caribbean style pizzas. If you’re into sampling a different kind of slice, this is an option. Food looks fresh. Was $28 for 3 slices. No seating. The chicken was good, but I enjoyed the texture of the pizza crust most. The crust is airy and crisp, supporting the toppings."
"It’s cool to see the expansion into Queens for a Black-owned business. This spot is a hot topic everywhere. I tried the sweet chili oxtail based on a recommendation from the guy behind the counter who said it was better than the stew oxtail slice. Well I got it, just one. So glad I only got one. It was $13 and the slice was filling. However, the oxtail meat was stringy and chewy. Not in a good way at all. As in low quality and the sweet chili sauce was plentiful and over powering. My guess is to keep it from being dry. I’ll try something else next time, so far it’s all hype."
"During my first visit, I tried the oxtail pizza and the jerk chicken pizza. Unfortunately, the oxtail pizza lacked seasoning and the jerk chicken pizza didn't quite meet my expectations and was lacking as a “pizza”. Today, when I arrived, there was no line outside because it was the first day of school. I walked in and inquired if they served regular slices, the employee confirmed that they did. When I placed my order for two buffalo chicken pizzas and a regular slice, the employee seemed disapproving and questioned my choice, suggesting other options like oxtail, jerk chicken, and shrimp. I assured him that I knew what I wanted and stuck to my original order. Despite his attitude and reluctance, he conveyed my order to the kitchen. The payment process was smooth, with no issues from the young lady at the register. However, the quality of the pizzas was disappointing. The plain pizza had overly sweet sauce, a under cook doughy crust, and lacked any char. The buffalo chicken pizza was excessively salty and lacked taste hardly ANY chicken. While visually appealing, these pizzas leave much to be desired in terms of flavor."
