My destination within this culinary chaos was Artichoke, where I hoped to secure a slice of pizza for my wife, son, and myself. Navigating the line at Artichoke, however, proved to be a challenge. The cue was poorly designed, with customers huddling at the entrance, creating an unintentional bottleneck as they awaited their turn to order. In this culinary melee, patrons took it upon themselves to assist one another, forming an impromptu camaraderie in the absence of any staff support. The ordering process, facilitated by self-service kiosks, was relatively straightforward for those familiar with the technology. However, it became apparent that older individuals, unaccustomed to such interfaces, might find the experience less intuitive. Despite these technological hurdles, my focus shifted to the eagerly awaited moment when our pizzas would be ready for pickup. As the minutes ticked by, the entertainment took an unexpected turn. The person in charge of completing orders emerged as a chaotic force in an otherwise organized setting. Pizzas were tossed onto the counter with an alarming lack of precision, missing the plates she had carefully set up. The employee mumbled customer names in a disinterested tone, growing increasingly agitated when forced to repeat them. It was a symphony of frustration, and any semblance of holiday cheer seemed to evaporate with each dismissed name. The disorganization reached its pinnacle when I observed a fellow traveler, who had placed an order after mine, receive their meal ahead of us. Curiosity turned to concern, prompting me to approach the employee to inquire about the status of my order. To my dismay, my question was met with a dismissive silence. Undeterred, I persisted, and the response, when it came, was curt: "It's coming." The climax of this culinary odyssey unfolded when, at last, my order was ready. The disgruntled employee flung the pizza bag onto the counter with a force that, had I not been alert, would have sent our meal tumbling to the floor. "Worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. Especially in NYC. Got a pepperoni slice and there was no cheese and about 30 pieces of pepperoni and it was cold. Staff is not friendly and the QR code/card only system is clunky and slow. Save your money."

"I mean the 1.5 stars should tell you everything you need. Worst pizza I’ve ever had and we are in NYC. What a disgrace. Artichoke? Well they have perfected the art of me wanting to choke after eating a slice. Terrible terrible and it’s $7 per slice. Don’t waste your money."

"I’m sorry I’ve been to various Artichoke & this is the worst one ever!!!! The staff is it friendly & what’s worse the food is terrible. The pizza is actually inedible the dough was raw & chewy!!!! I was so surprised that they would serve this to paying customers. I complained that the pizza was raw & they didn’t care. I think cat food would taste better then this. Beware do not buy pizza from here!"

"When you’re on the run but hungry you can pay for super expensive slices of pizza at the airport. 7.70 dollars a slice. So at that price quality should be top notch. I’m not sure the quality they deliver is deserving of that price point"
