"Really fantasitic stay. Incredibly unique building. They've preserved a LOT of the history. The room we were in was overlooking the river on one side and the street on the other. Well appointed, nice touches, comfy mattress. The original pottery was really impressive as well. Do yourself a favor and they the shrimp and grits downstairs. Marshall is a charming town and this new hotel is a perfect fit. We will be back."

"The Old Marshall Jail Hotel is a delightful place to stay in a beautiful small town. We, as well as other family members, return to this Hotel with regularity when we're in the area. The rooms are spotless, the bed and linens are very comfortable, and the design is an interesting mix of modern with a nod to the history of the building. The area is very walkable with a number of restaurants within a block of so. It is a very safe area. We highly recommend the Old Marshall Jail Hotel."

"I spent a few days here for a getaway and just loved it. I really liked the virtual check-in and found everything I needed provided in the room. I stayed in the Sheriff's Suite and part of me wants to move in and never leave. The history of the building and the community is preserved and presented in a wonderful way and the art in the rooms is beautiful. It's also worth mentioning that because of the location of the building the light in the Sheriff's Suite is amazing. If light and shadow is your jam, book the Sheriff Suite, you will not be disappointed."

"This place is a real gem. We celebrated our son’s 7th birthday with family here and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are beautiful and unique (the rooms with a loft were our favorite), and everything from the handmade ceramic coffee mugs to the interesting stories around the old jail was a treat. We’re already planning out next trip back. We ate both lunch and dinner at Zadie’s and it was excellent. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit this one of a kind hotel!"

"Stayed here last evening overnight. Enjoyed the room (Bailey's Branch Suite) very much. Room was large & well appointed with a king sized bed, wooden table with metal chairs, kitchenette, and large bathroom. The A/C unit did not put out much heat (turned it up to 80) but I didn't freeze. Loved that check in and checkout was seamless. I also enjoyed Zaida's restaurant as well. Very historical place and I would highly recommend it if you are visiting Marshall/Madison County!"
