"Hadn't been to campground in 2 years visited this year 2023 in October, the bathrooms were just about unusable half the shower didn't work, my wife had to pick up pizza and a pizza box in the shower before she could use it. Showers were filthy and full of trash three out of four shower faucets did not work. Very disappointed two years ago when we showed up here it was great. A lot of trash was around the shower facility it was obvious nobody has taken the time to clean up the area. We will not be back"
"I was hopeful this was going to be a great stay based on the positive reviews and Good Sam rating. I didn’t realize when we booked to be close to the Balloon festival that the campground also hosted “Wicked Woods” Fri and Sat night. While the campground advertises as family friendly, the noise from the haunted woods (constant honking horns, gun noises etc) ran until 11 on Friday and 12:30 on Sat. On top of that we found the campground (especially around the kids area) to be full of trash. The office/store didn’t open until 11am which seems pretty late compared to other campgrounds and ruled out playing mini-golf. Overall, very disappointed. Won’t be back and do not recommend."
"The sites are dirty, the fire pit is a giant ashtray. The bathrooms are absolutely filthy. Today is my third day here and they have not been cleaned yet. Not to mention that the campground itself is old and run down. I'm actually leaving two days early and losing my money because this place is a disaster. Scott was the nicest thing about this park, he is helpful and very pleasant."
"Cabins, just don't! First I want to say that we really enjoyed the campground. The pool was huge, the events for Labor Day weekend were good. The kids area was nice and kept up. Now, onto the cabins. My family and I rented cabin number 1 and 2. The first thing you notice is the smell of cat pee when you walked in, it was overwhelming. However, I think it may be coming from the ac unit that was full of black mold. The outside smelled like raw sewage, I believe it was coming from under cabin#1. The refrigerator did not cool. There is no propane grill like the web site claims. #2 cabin didn't have heat. Not a big deal seeing how it is September right now. There are no electrical hook ups outside and no hot water. The water in the bathroom did not work at all one day. Also you better pack sheets and blankets because there are none. Well you need to pack everything because it's basically a tent with walls. The mattresses were flat to the wood so we went and bought inflatable mattresses. Also, ants big and small, spider's everywhere. I'm not cut out for cabin life. I will say that there is a lot of potential to have some nice cabins but don't expect it yet. Also, the cabin is surrounded by poison ivy so be aware of that for his animals and kids. And this tree limb. I don't think it's too much to ask that each cabin site gets looked over and made safe."
"We found this hidden gem on our way to Pigeon Forge. Our entire family enjoyed staying here and we will definitely be back. It’s not far off I-40 and the thick trees hide the road noise. Mr. Scott set up our reservations over the phone and it was such a pleasure to meet him when we arrived. Lots of amenities and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We stayed on waterfront lots with a 40’ RV and it might have been tight to leave if someone were parked ahead of us and getting around the curve if there were anymore vehicles parked near the road. Our next visit, we will stay up near the pool and enjoy a short walk to the pond. Yes, there are lots of folks on permanent sites that could sure use some cleaning up but, don’t let that stop you from staying here."
