"Food is always fabulous. I pre-order the arroz con Pollo from home before I got to the restaurant as it takes 1 hour to cook. It says serves 2 but there is enough for 3-4 ."
"A blast from the past!! As a child I grew up eating at their original restaurant in Queens. It is great that all these flavors and service has transferred perfectly. You know that scene in Ratatouille where the critic remembers his childhood? *That* is exactly what it felt like for me."
"Not a "bad" meal but not a repeater for us. We had a reservation for 8, arrived early, and still ended up waiting for our table (not a huge deal). When we eventually sat down it took a while for someone to come over for drinks (they really tried to push the alcoholic ones) and then even longer for the food to get ordered. The sangria came (a 32 oz "full carafe" for $30) and kinda just tasted like watered down wine, but maybe that's just their style of sangria. The food eventually came out (an hour after we sat down) and was just kinda "lack luster" like someone forgot to season stuff. The service was pretty solid and the staff was very friendly. The food was pretty decently priced for the area and to give them credit, had a very diverse menu (not your generic Mexican restaurant menu). The atmosphere inside the restaurant was a little chaotic, as it's a very small & packed dining room so it was loud, paired with live music coming from the bar side. Parking was a little creative but probably not an issue if they aren't super busy. Like I said, not a bad meal, but perhaps the previous reviews set our expectations too high."
"This restaurant makes me feel like I'm in someone's home. It's a cozy spot and you can tell that love is put into the food. The meat is so tender and juicy. Plates are enough to feed two. Highly recommend this place. It will not disappoint. Entrance and parking is in the back"
