"Simply the best place to order some pasta, burgers and wings. I order here on the weekend and the food is spot on. Thank you for being attentive to our food requests."
"This is the worst place to give business too..why? Cause the other day I went with my child to have a slice of pizza the usual thing after school everyday something that I wouldn't expected to get denied a slice of pizza cause I was short of 2 cents a slice coast $3.25 I had $3.23 the register guy told me sorry I can't sell you slice this is not my business really I told him I'll speak to the owner about it and walked out few days later I seen the owner told him about it all got was a sorry not even a courtesy of a slice from the owner to keep me happy and as his client people this isn't Angelo's pizza is new owners who doesn't care about great customers service but your money never again I'll step here it could be any of our kids hungry after school get denied a slice for 2 cents"
"I started eating here when I came to the United States in 1992. They were a hole in the wall with just 2 Italian guys making the pie. My 5th grade classmate was there help with reheating the pizza slices. The old man used to come in once in a while, too. They expanded and took over the Korean grocery next door. I eat a lot of their pizza growing up. This was my reference slice and it was good. Even today, I compare all slices against my memory of their pizza. The pie back then was big enough to overflowed the pizza box on all 4 sides. Pizza was evenly cooked with lots of cheese. The crust was good. I moved out of the neighborhood 20 years ago but still visit family in the neighborhood and has been buying a pie every few months. I've been consistently eating their pizza for over 30 years. One of the Italian pizzaman (Anthony) died and I no longer see the other pizzaman (Freddie). The quality of the pizza has been going down gradually since then. I bought a pizza yesterday. It was nothing like the pizza of my youth. The pizza was smaller, the crust was undercooked with barely any rise. The undercarriage has a huge flop almost all the way to the edge. Pizza was unevenly cooked with sections of the cheese retaining their milky color while other parts slightly golden. The entire pizza was soupy and hard to pick up. Cheese was sliding off the watery sauce. I know their pizza sauce was factory made from the beginning, but the consistency has changed. Maybe they switched brands. The garlic knots with cheese was under cooked as well with the cheese barely melted. All the food came out feeling like it was rushed without love but they were not even busy when I waited for my food inside the store. I would give this meal a 2* since I tasted worse in other places. I am giving it a 3* in the hope that they would go back to the quality of yesteryears."
"We ordered a Sicilian pie with extra cheese and anchovies. It was just okay. The sauce was great, anchovies real fishy, but the cheese was lacking. The crust was really good as well but seemed a little too thick. The garlic knots barely had any garlic sauce but they were okay. Can't say much else, just an okay pizza. Thanks"
"I just got my hot wings I ordered about a half an hour ago. Very disappointed that I wasted my time and my money in these obviously previously frozen wings. After shifting through the fat I was able to eat a little chicken. Visiting NYC from out of state should have stuck with the big chains. I’m sure Angelo’s has great Italian food, but I had a taste for an appetizer."
