Reviews of Di Fara Pizza
"A very nice addition to the original Brooklyn pizzeria, located across the street from the remodeled South Street Seaport. Pizza is thin with a lot of sauce. Plenty of seating including a bar upstairs."
"Decent reheated slices of pizza but nothing special. Not worth a special trip for it. Caveat: We ate around 2pm so pizza had probably been out for a while. Maybe eating there during lunch hour would be a more fair evaluation of it. Di Fara is on some lists of best NYC pizza, but I suspect that is referring to the other location in Brooklyn."
"This place is the second location of the famous Di Fara's Pizza. Place is clean and staff is friendly. The regular pizza is average but the Chaos pizza is tasty. Got our party's order freshly made and we were all satisfied. The Chaos pie was the favorite."
"Was highly praised and recommended so I went to check out what the hype is about. I got the cheese pie and gotta admit it's good, the crust is thin and the fresh basil on top adds more flavor but as a New Yorker, $30 something for a pie or $10+ for a reg slice at a place clearly set up for to-go and quick bite is ridiculous. Not to mention drinks are all $3+ and $4+ for a small coke? It was decent but Imma go back to trusty 2 Bros around the corner"
"Clean and clear of judging this pizza by its price, the crisp of its crust and the level of tomato sauce, cheese and topping ratio was on par to give this pizza an overall crunchy and flavorful bite. Some restaurants make their pizzas with poorly drained artichokes/tomatoes/veggies leaving a soggy soaked-through crust. Not Di Fara. Pizza parlors like Di Fara have a dedicated craft to making that crust crispy and is generous on the toppings. We ordered three slices and then went back for an extra. Price wise, the square slices are small for $7 a piece. Go for the lunch special from noon to 4pm and get a mini pie for $20. I cut all the slices in half and topped with more Parmesan cheese, so note that when you see my videos and photos. My family consensus about this place compared to the many nearby pizza joints around Fulton St puts this in the bottom two of our list. However, Di Fara is still in our rotation of pizza places to go for being a self serve, no fuss, sit down eatery with free pizza condiments like Italian spice and Parmesan cheese."
