"Nice falls when the water is flowing. On a hot day you may find a lot of swimmers / sunbathers. Had a couple getting wedding pictures the day we were there."
"The parking lot is pretty small for a very popular site. This is an easy, short hike to a beautiful waterfall with a shallow swimming hole. Great for families and dogs to swim."
"Great location. Really enjoyed ourselves. It is a walk down to the actual falls part..made of natural rock."
"The best thing about visiting this local is stopping at the Front Porch Creamery on the way in or way out. The falls themselves are worth the time and effort to reach but a bit crowded and rather unimpressive when you've visited so many grand falls out west as we have. The hike itself is fairly easy as they have provided a staircase to reach them. Given that they were within an hour, Greensboro, where we were staying, it was a worthwhile venture"
"We fall in love with Lower Cascade Falls. Had the most amazing time, clear skies and yet we had to wait for a spot to park. The trail is 40% accessible, many tree roots bulging through the trail and the engineering man made steps down to the falls are safe. But improvements can be made, I suggest a hand rail system placed along the steps section. Few steps had ice collected and where a bit questionable. Otherwise it’s a great place to visit!"
