"Always love to eat here. Very friendly welcoming staff. They make you want to come back."
"The onion soup had lots if onions and the cheese was good, but could have used more. It was a bit salty, but if you like that then it's OK. The wings were excellent. Meaty and moist. I asked for garlic butter on them which isn't on the menu. Really enjoyed them. Quick friendly service."
"I had the roast beef Cafe. Delicious. Very tender beef, flavorful au jus and those onion rings are to die for. This is what I had leftover and I was stuffed. I’m in the area for work and what a great neighborhood gem."
"I have lived in Oceanside my entire life and I have never been to J Paul's but have always heard really good things about it. I'm happy to say that I agree. The atmosphere was very pub like with a separate entrance to the bar. The booths were roomy and the area was open. I could see four televisions all airing a different channel. I ordered the roast beef Cafe (I think)which is really a French dip and it was excellent. I ordered it rare and it came rare. That almost never happens. My husband ordered steak tidbits which were good I wasn't a fan of the bbq sauce. The table came with freshly fried potato chips which I think we're Idahoes. We got the spinach artichoke dip which could have been more flavorful but was not salty and I appreciated that. There was lots of spinach and artichoke in it as well so it was thick not at all thin. It came with chips that couldn't handle the thickness of the dip itself. I tried them with the potato chips and they were good. We also got an order of 10 jumbo hot wings. They were excellent as was the blue cheese dip. Our server was very attentive and I'm sorry that I did not get his name. We enjoyed ourselves at lunch and will return in the future."
