Reviews of Ajo y Orégano
"Review of Ajo y Orégano Restaurant: During a visit on Sunday, February 11th, I brought friends from Spain to experience Dominican cuisine at Ajo y Orégano. Despite a longer-than-expected wait, the service stood out for its excellence. Our server, Frank, was exceptional, offering attentive and personalized service. He even facilitated a birthday celebration for one of our guests, showcasing his dedication and sincerity. The food, as always, was flavorful and satisfying. While the wait time could have been communicated better, Frank's remarkable service and the delicious food made our dining experience memorable. Ajo y Orégano is a restaurant worth visiting for its great service and delightful dishes. Kudos to Frank and the team for a job well done!"
"Imagine coming for a quick local dinner, in the middle of the Bronx and spending $216 because the entrees don’t include sides. If I were in Brooklyn or manhattan sure, but not the ratchet Bronx. This place was okay, it played Spanish music the entire time. The bartender was good at her job, maybe not the consumer experience. I’m quite baffled by how much this bill was. Our food and drinks were decent but not $216 decent. There repasado is $18 as if you’re In the city…"
"My ladyfriends and I went to this nice restaurant and we felt like home in this comfortable atmosphere. The wait time was less than 10 minutes, and the waiters kept checking on us to see if we were fine. The Pollo al Horno was very delicious, as the rotisserie style chicken is well-grilled and roasted to perfection. My ladyfriend’s simply talked about how their day went while drinking both a Piña Colada and a Margarita. We enjoyed our stay."
"Great food, great service, great staff. Went Sunday evening about 45 minute wait but worth it. Street and valet parking. Clean restrooms. Our waitress Evelin is the best."
"Food is always great. This is a wonderful family style restaurant. The service could have been better, but I went on a Saturday at their peak dinner hours. I always come back. This is a neighborhood gem"
