Meadowbrook Inn

"Let me start off by saying I did enjoy staying here..but it does have a few downfalls....its not the end of the world but the place could be improved upon...1. I could hear people in the hallway early in the morning...I sleep late so it kinda sucked for me...2. the bathroom had no heater...it was kinda cold taking a shower but not the end of the world. 3. the heater in the room was loud..I got to sleep but it wasn't easy...everything else was great..the breakfast in the morning was awesome...the carpets looked nice..the place has an indoor swimming pool (not too many places have that anymore)...it has a restaurant...it has an outdoor fire pit...a pond...ducks...the place is slightly dated but in a good way..I liked it."

"We went for an overnight stay for my wife's birthday. We went up to Blowing Rock and stayed at the Meadowbrook inn. The rooms were very nice and spacious. Our room had an oversized bathtub that my wife loved. The rooms were impeccably clean and well kept. This Inn was well worth the price and we would absolutely stay there again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All around great experience."

"Nice place to stay. 30-45 min driving from Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain ski resorts. Good breakfast. Several restaurants nearby. The only downside is the fact the a/c in the room is very noisy. Other than that, It is a very nice place."

"Nicest front desk staff I’ve met and best hotel breakfast I’ve had except for a place I stayed in Germany. The room was spotless and I felt very much at ease letting my baby crawl around on the floor. The shower was super relaxing and they had really nice individually packaged shampoo, etc (so much better than places that just have the dispensers on the wall of the shower). The location is walkable to downtown and we were able to take our baby in the stroller to a big park and then go to lunch. It’s also less than ten minutes from Julian Price Park, Moses Cone, and the Blowing Rock attraction. Maybe thirty minutes to Grandfather Mountain. I would absolutely stay here again."

"We have been staying here for over 20 years… not every trip to BR but a lot! The breakfast food is great- esp the baked apple pancakes, coffee, scrambled eggs The renovations are helpful but the artwork needs updating! Agreed does not match the hotel decor! In center of town you can walk everywhere! Very few breakfast places in BR so thrilled they offer at hotel (buffet included)! Jennifer at the desk is very polite and helpful! One suggestion - a fire pit outside for the evening!"
