Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse

"Close to I-87/NY Thruway. The food was so outstanding! We stopped here on our way home from Belleayre Mountain. Thurs/Fri is fried chicken night, so of course we got an order, delicious, juicy, tender, perfect fry. We also got the pulled pork and the brisket. Solid BBQ. Each meal comes with 2 sides. We got garlic mashed potatoes, which were yummy, baked beans, and veggies, which rotate. Today, it was kale and squash with garlic. Everything was great. Our server was sweet and was serving the whole place by herself. We sat by the bar and got a few beers. They have about 8-10 taps and a good variety of local IPAs, lagers, pale ales, stouts, and a few standard staples mixed in."

"Prepare yourself to get your grub on. I walked in and was promptly seated. Food came out rather quickly and was hot. Everything was great, and the food tasted great. Portions were satisfying, and had enough leftovers for a doggie bag. Definitely give it a shot if you're in the neck of the woods."

"We used Hickory BBQ for our wedding reception and man, did they NAIL IT! We've been to too many weddings where it was all style and no substance (and often left us hungry!) and we didn't want to make that mistake. We reached out to every BBQ caterer in the area and Steve was by far the most easy to work with, offered the most competitive pricing, and since it's a restaurant, we had the opportunity to test the goods before we pulled the trigger! It was great on the trial run and *even better* on the big day. Our guests all raved about the menu (particularly the mac&cheese and the brisket) and the overall quality of the food. They also did our bar and the both the bartenders and the servers did an AMAZING job at keeping everyone satisfied. The bartender even learned our drinks and kept bringing them to us, unprompted, which we found to be a really nice touch. We would hire Hickory all over again and highly recommend them to anyone out there looking for a quality meal and quality staff for their next event."

"9.30.23 This was an unplanned but a perfect stop. The service was spectacular. The brisket and pulled pork and side dishes were tasty and flavorful. We put our own BBQ sauce on them and the spicy BBQ sauce was amazing."

"If you're looking for a proper smokehouse with great food, service and patrons at a decent price then this is your spot! Dropped there on a friday evening, we were quickly attended by the friendly staff and damn was the food good. We were a bit too optimistic to finish the feast between only two people, but the leftovers were still absolutely amazing the next day. I was also quite surprised by how good the sides were, which sometimes don't follow the quality of the meats, but here they were (almost) as good as the mains! Definitively recommend!"
