"Had a great experience at Monro. I ordered a set of tires and wheels online from another retailer which came pre-mounted and balanced. After installing them onto my car, I experienced significant vibrations at higher speeds. I dropped my car off at Monro first thing in the morning, and they took the car right in. They performed a road force balance on my wheels/tires and diagnosed the issue quickly. I took my car for a short test drive and the vibrations were gone! Quick, friendly, and efficient service at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend."

"On Jan 7th it snowed in Kingston NY. I used my 4WD with no problems. On the 8th I dropped my vehicle off to Monroe Muffler for an oil change and a oil pressure sensor. On the 9th it snowed again and my 4WD wasn't working. I looked under the hood and discovered wires disconnected by the fuse box. Wires that literally have to be un-snapped to come apart. When I call, I didn't get any sense of concern. Just, "bring it in and we'll take a look at it." As if it was done purposely so I'd have to have more service work done. Now I don't know that for sure, but I do know that this 4WD issue wasn't an issue prior to dropping my truck off to Monroe on the 8th."

"I brought my car in to be inspected. After dropping it off I received a phone call telling me my car failed and was quoted $616.00 for new control arm. They also informed me I had a low battery and needed new rear tires. I told them not to pass me and I would figure it out as I needed the car that day. When I went to pick up my car the worker ignored me for ten mins while on phone in the garage. Two days later I brought the car to my reliable mechanic and he not only passed it but showed me under my vehicle to prove it was safe and I was being taking advantage of. I will never visit this location again"

"This Munro Muffler are crooks. I've had problems with them in the past. My daughter went to them for an oil change. They claimed she needed four new tires, spark plugs and filters. I told her to leave. I sent her to Midas in Rhinebeck who I have had great experiences with. She didn't need tires and there was nothing wrong with her spark plugs. DO NOT go to Monro in Kingston."

"I really wish I could give zero stars. I went in here to get a headlight changed for a fix it ticket so I wouldn’t have to deal with having a cop look at it. They pulled my truck in and the. Came back giving my some story about how the issue wasn’t the light bulb it was the electrical and they would have to spend more time looking at it and might have to replace the whole headlight housing. I normally do all my own mechanical work on my truck and have been doing so for a long time. This didn’t sound right to me so I thanked them and told them I would take my truck. I drove down the street to the auto parts store, bought a headlight, changed it on a matter of seconds and what do you know… it works fine!!! I drove back to the shop to confront the guys about lying to me and they continued to make excuses and tell me that I needed to be nicer and that I should be grateful that they didn’t charge me for a diagnostic or damage my vehicle. This place is a joke. They are just trying to rip you off. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!"
