"We are currently doing cycles of IUI with Dr. Deaton, we have not yet had a successful cycle as we are only on number two but the quality of care at this clinic is unmatched. I started this process with a video consult with Dr. Dong. He was compassionate, informative and had incredible bedside manner. I never thought that I would be even able to consider conceiving due to my PCOS and irregularities. He has given me hope to begin this process and I cannot thank him enough for that. All of the staff has given me excellent care and have been EXTREMELY encouraging. Ms. Pam, the sonography tech is the BEST person for the job!! She ALWAYS remembers the results from all my past ultrasounds, and always makes sure to tell me about the progress I’ve made since last time. She has a way of reading the room like no other. I was slightly disappointed at one scan, which was obvious by my face and she made sure I left that appointment feeling reassured with a smile on my face. Something that little makes all the difference during such an emotional time. Dr. Deaton is just as wonderful as the rest of his staff! He answered any questions we had honestly, and was upfront about our fertility treatment process. He spoke to my husband and I with the upmost respect, compassion and honesty. Roxanne, the nurse who I have worked with during this process has been available to me just about anytime of the day to answer any questions with very little response time! She also has been super kind and compassionate with me and has made sure to explain the ins and outs of the process thus far. This clinic and the staff has given my husband and I the best care as we begin the process to starting a family and it wouldn’t be possible without them. I cannot recommend them enough and thank them for making this process a lot less scary than I thought it would be!!!"
"My wife was sent from a ARNP gyn to this facility for pain. They had her see Margie first, who kept saying the pain was from something that it was not. My wife and I would know if that was happening since the pain started immediately after Hep A. If the pain would have been from what Margie kept stating we would have noticed it gradually, not immediately. After being unheard by Margie, she went to Dr. Moulder, who oversees Margie at this clinic. At this point my wife was extremely depressed from going back and forth and being made to feel she was crazy, so I started accompanying her to these appts. My wife repeatedly stated pain to Moulder, and again ignored. She focused on a different problem instead of the pain, for which we came for. Moulder tried 2 in-office procedures, and then took my wife to surgery to accomplish her failed in office procedures. We did the procedure only because she scared us about cancer and other things. We were never told how much those 3 procedures were going to be. Plus, we still had no diagnosis for the pain. I took my wife to her primary doctor with her in tears. The primary doctor listened to us and even let my wife point to the pain, she did an exam and found the problem immediately. Mind you, I’ve never been to a gyn to see how exams are done, but I can assure you the exam by the PRIMARY was THOROUGH. The problem was fixed by 2 meds in a couple of weeks. If I were to compare the 2 exams, MOULDER DID NOT DO ONE. Moulder then had the audacity to question myself and my wife if the primary knew what she was doing or looking at. I could tell Moulder got her ego crushed. We spent $1400 in medical visits and procedures, and that’s not even counting the amount we spent for the mental health she needed because of Moulder’s negligence. PATIENT RELATIONS WAS CONTACTED AND THE GRIEVANCE WAS DENIED TWICE, THEY WON’T EVEN CONTACT US STATING THAT THAT DENIALS WERE THEIR LAST COMMUNICATION WITH HER. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW STUBBORN MY WIFE IS, SHE WILL KEEP GOING TILL THEY DO WHAT THEY SHOULD."
"If I could give 0, I would. I was referred to MIGS by one gyn for pain. Saw Margie at MIGS first, she was dismissive about the pain. I described the pain but she kept saying it was due to something that was completely not true, every woman would know if that was the case. Then something else happened, I honestly didn’t care about that bc the pain was what I was concerned about. Again, dismissed it as something that it wasn’t. Due to feeling my problem wasn’t being addressed I asked to see the MD, Moulder. Again, the pain was dismissed and she focused on something else. She did 3 procedures based on her stating I was post menopausal, which I was not, according to Margie, the ultrasound and blood work. She got me very worried by mentioning cancer and other things possible which is why I agreed to the procedures, all of which was pointless bc I was still peri menopausal. Again, she dismissed the pain. Never listened, did no thorough visual exam, didn’t let me show her where the pain was. I went to my PCP, practically in tears, who listened and let me show where the pain was, did a thorough visual exam in a position appropriate for seeing what was needed and found the problem immediately. All I needed was 2 meds and the problem was resolved. 6 months of going back and forth to Gyn’s, procedures and therapies, not to mention the mental toll it took on me. When I told Moulder what was found she asked me if my primary knew what she was really seeing or doing. Seeing my pcp found it and it was cured quite quickly says my pcp was smarter than Moulder. Moulder has a huge ego and only wants procedures under her belt. And my husband and I knew she was upset that she didn’t even look. My husband was with me during the exams with her and with the pcp and he was astonished by the lack of exam by Moulder. I contacted patient relations twice and the representative told me two different bogus reasons of why they denied my grievance of why the Gyn’s didn’t find the problem. Mind you the review board won’t even talk to me, only person they listen to is the egocentric doctor. They state they’re so into their patients but then make the patient feel dismissed. The review board even told me that the last denial will be their final communication with me. They’ve forced me into looking into other ways of resolution. Gyn’s at Wake are harsh, go to Novant or your family med doctor if you want someone who listens and are compassionate. EDIT SO, THEY SAY TO CONTACT PATIENT RELATIONS, IF THEY HAD READ, THEY’D SEE I ALREADY DID. THEY REFUSE TO HAVE ANY FURTHER COMMUNICATION WITH ME. EVEN THOUGH THEIR DOCTORS NEVER LISTENED OR CHECKED FOR THE ONLY REASON I CAME IN FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE. JT"
"I’ve been coming here for about 5 months now, and the service I have received has been beyond exceptional. I believe Pam is the name of the woman who performs ultrasounds, and all I have to say is bravo! You couldn’t have hired anyone better for the job at hand. She remembers my scans from previous months and encourages you as soon as you enter the room. I’m so grateful to have been sent here and to have become pregnant in the process."
"Felt like a customer, not a patient. Initial consult was a shotty online meeting. Every visit was a different nurse. I was asked twice to pay $350 up front even though I had insurance. I told them no, I would wait for the bill (knowing good and well I shouldn't have to pay up front) and it was never that much. I met my actual Doctor once - after several visits. He recommended IVF at that point and told me they had a 70% success rate. What he didn't say is that the first cycle is a 30% success rate and it goes up from there. Each cycle costs anywhere from 8K to 24K depending on medications and insurance. They didn't give me enough information up front, I had to dig for it. If they had treated me like an actual person seeking help, instead of just another number, and were honest and upfront with me, I would have had a much better experience."
