Reviews of Harris Teeter Pharmacy
"I was fairly impressed with this pharmacy due to good location , and have not any reason to complain about until today . I attempted to fill a Vicodin RX after seeing a physician today along with two others prescriptions . I gave the pharmacy several hours to fill them and was informed by tech that they had 2 prescriptions ready for me. I asked which of the 3 was not ready and informed I had " no further refills on my Vicodin prescriptions " I told her " this should be a new prescription as I just saw my physcian today" . Nope was informed they had called my MD and are awaiting a call back. This was at 4:30 pm. Md's office was closing in 1/2 hour, I called and left message for nurse to call me back with information why I cannot get Vicodin Rx just written today. Nurse called me back informing me that Harris Teeter did not have any Vicodin to supply me ? They had called MD to inform them but I guess they did not feel the need to inform the patient who was in pain of this issue . It was easily fixed by giving MD another pharmacy to call this medication in. My issue is this , why was I lead to believe that noone understood why I could not get my prescriptions. The tech could have easily informed me that none was available at their store and it would have been accepted. Was out on the web today and found out ,as in many other instances in past , pharmacies are having difficulties w a shortage. Could have eliminated this bad review of a pharmacy I had faith in, by sharing a bit of truth."
"Pharmacist Brittany is a disgusting human being. She picks and chooses which medications I can get, even though my doctor prescribed them to me. For example, I have a medication for pain that is non-narcotic. She keeps rejecting the medication because she says I can only take it, and I quote, "Once per year". I asked her for studies to back up her claim and she says that she's saying it based on her "clinical judgment". Mind you, this woman is not well in the head. I don't know if she's just been having a lot of bad days in a row or if she really doesn't like her job, but she's always been absolutely rude to me. She lied saying she would talk to my doctor. She lied saying that I can only take this certain medication "once per year". And she's absolutely rude to me and very short when I asked questions trying to understand her reasoning. Anyways, I transferred this medication to CVS and didn't have any issues. Shame on you HT for hiring such a goblin."
"Terrible service. I’ve had several interactions with staff that were flat out condescending and rude about medication questions & insurance. In what can be a stressful situation for some patients, particular staff have provided no support or empathy to their community- something that is an integral part of a health profession, even if just being a local grocery store pharmacy. Will not be using them for my prescriptions any longer."
"Since my last visit they stopped accepting my insurance which is fine but would have been nice to tell me. I sent my sons prescription over picked it up and just assumed all was good. Got home and saw he was missing part of it so I called to ask. Thats when I'm told we don't take your insurance anymore and you can get the inhaler it will be $450 or call another pharmacy who takes it. It's now gone 4 days because the weekend and them not sending the script over right away."
"Heather is awesome. Extremely patient. Takes care of you & listens like you are the only customer even if there are other customers there-if you are waiting for your script she will give you an update by saying "Mrs. Sullivan just another minute or almost ready"....... 1 of my scripts I must show my ID & shes always polite when she requests it & promptly gives it back. Always asks if you have any questions. She's the best!"
