The Carnegie Public Library has a rich history dating back to 1879 when the Free Library was established in Bradford. Over the years, the library grew in size and importance, eventually merging with the School Library thanks to a generous donation from Andrew Carnegie. The library building, designed by William Hanley, was completed in 1901 and served as a hub of knowledge and culture for the community.
After 90 years of service, the library relocated to a new building, and the Carnegie building was transformed into the beloved Beefeaters Restaurant. Today, Beefeaters continues to pay homage to the library's heritage while offering patrons a cozy atmosphere to enjoy a fine meal and drinks.

The server was friendly, attentive, prompt, and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was served hot, fresh, and the order was accurate. The food came out in a timely manner. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We look forward to coming back next year when we are in town for the band competition."
"Located in a former Carnegie library, Beefeaters is a great restaurant in Bradford! They have a large menu, but of course I had to try their beef. I was very happy with their Beef on Weck, although it's not as good as Olean's Beef N Barrel. I was actually most impressed with Beefeater's French onion soup (one of the best I have ever had!), although I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu! I absolutely would recommend it!"
