Reviews of NTY Clothing Exchange Pittsford
"NTY "lost" my items and I had called multiple times throughout a span of two weeks to try and locate my things. Every time I called I was connected to someone different, who said the same thing that "they couldn't find my things but they would give me a call tomorrow." When in fact no one ever called or reached out to me. It was me calling almost every day to try and locate my items. I finally got ahold of the owner, and she said they "lost" my items and they could only offer me $28 (the most I received for a buy in the past). She also said that my items were "all passes", but when I look on their website I see items that I dropped off listed for sale. The owner is very rude and has insulted me over the phone multiple times. I would not recommend dropping your clothes off or shopping here. The amount they offer you for your things is not remotely close to what they are worth. Additionally, they lie and state that they "lost" your items, but then list them for sale without compensating you. Some would call that stealing..."
"I've read all of the previous reviews and for some reason; I decided to drop some things off to see if they would purchase. It took them 5 and a half days to look through the my items. After the wait they offered me $10 for a Kate spade purse. They said the reason they passed was due to age yet all the items were bought within the last year. When I was looking around there, the items were older than the stuff I brought in."
"If you are interested in thrifting as a young person this place is not a good thrift store for you. It is not suitable for young people. There is not that much of high end brands and there is not that much stylish clothes. You can check out their facebook page for yourself :)"
"Really great second-hand store with well-curated collection of items. I’ve even gotten new Bath and Body Works scented lotion for a fraction of the store price. They sell Lululemon and other high end brands for a fraction of the price. I’ve never walked out without something great , often new with tags, and I think the prices are really great."
"I took a decent sized bag of clothes in to try and sell to this store, after having been decently successfully selling clothes to Plato's Closet in the past. First of all, I brought this bag in no more than 20 minutes after the store opened. The employee told me they would get to sorting through it the NEXT day and that's when I could come retrieve my items. I've sold to Plato's Closet before, which is much busier than this place was the two times that I entered their store (to drop off and pick up my clothes), and the longest time I've ever had to wait for Plato's Closet to sort through my clothes was 3 hours. When I did go to pick up my clothes, I was pretty shocked when they had passed on everything I brought in. This would be fine if the rest of the store didn't literally look like a Goodwill or Salvation Army. The selection of clothes they must have accepted in the past to sell in their store was incredibly out of style which is odd as they market towards juniors/young adults. Also, when I did go to pick up my clothes, I stood at the counter for a good chunk of time before either of the employees behind the counter even acknowledged I was there, even though I was the only person on that side of the store."
