"They said if they couldn't turn it on, they couldn't work on it. They wanted to send it away to have my data recovered. They estimated $50 just to send it, purchase a external hard drive to send with it, and depending on how much data I had, it could be as much as $1000 to transfer my data to the external drive! 0I took it to Computer Works Pro on Ridge Rd in Webster. They opened it up as I watched on the counter and said it sounded like the power supply. They gave me an estimate, but mentioned it was a cheap black Friday deal, and he could tell. He took my hard drive out and checked it and all my data was there! I hadn't lost it. I ended up buying a new computer from them and they transferred all my data for $85."
