Reviews of K:Dara Noodle Bar
"I recently discovered K:Dara Noodle Bar, a gem of a South East Asian restaurant nestled in the heart of Buffalo, right at 110 Pearl Street. It's housed in the historic Dun Building, a spot that's quickly become a favorite for me and my boys, August, Enzo, and Roman. Our first visit to K:Dara was on a whim. We were looking for something different for dinner and stumbled upon this place. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm ambiance and the inviting aroma of Asian spices. The boys' eyes lit up seeing the menu - they've always had a soft spot for Asian cuisine, just like me. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the standouts were undoubtedly the Udon and Pho. The Udon had this rich, flavorful broth that was both comforting and invigorating. As for the Pho, it was a delightful mix of savory broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs. It was like a symphony of flavors in every spoonful. But the real winner for my boys was the dumplings. They couldn't get enough of them! Each dumpling was a perfect bite of juicy filling wrapped in a delicate, soft dough. It was a joy watching them argue over who would get the last one - they're usually picky eaters, but not when it comes to K:Dara's dumplings. The staff at K:Dara Noodle Bar, especially Jennifer, the owner/manager, made our experience even more special. She has this way of making everyone feel like they're dining in her own home. And the creative cocktails? They were the cherry on top for me, a perfect blend of aesthetics and flavor. Since that first visit, K:Dara has become our go-to spot for family dinners. It's not just about the food, which is consistently delicious and beautifully served, but also about the warmth and hospitality we experience each time. It's a place where we've created many happy memories, laughing and sharing stories over bowls of Udon and Pho, and, of course, those irresistible dumplings."
"If my partner hadn’t walked by and known it was there, we (taking a friend around Buffalo to help you estimate the amount of food ordered) wouldn’t have stopped where we were going to pop in. And we would have missed out on one of the besting dining spots around the downtown. We had the Mung Bean, the lo mein, and the udon beef. We also had a small carafe of sake which was smooth. When the mung bean came out, everyone was so disappointed that they hadn’t gotten that instead. But Jennifer personally made sure we had extra bowls to share. It’s the best combination of flavors-Rich and buttery and I can’t wait to come back in the winter for a nice warm bowl. We also had the chocolate Negroni which were delicious. Everyone working there was so friendly and personable. We were sad to leave and look forward to the next time. The flan is also one of the best desserts. I wish I could explain how amazing it was. I’ll probably go back and update this post with a better description."
"NOOOOOODS!!!! My wife & I first went to the original restaurant back around 2012, which was located on Main St? I remember it was near Studio Arena Theatre. Annnywho- we hit this place up after I got a strong craving for Ramen or some type of noodle soup! We got an order of the pork dumplings as an appetizer and they were delicious. And devoured before I remembered to take a pic. My wife remembered that the old place was the first time she tried Pho. And she remembered how much she loved the broth! Today, she was so excited to be reunited with her favorite Pho broth!! It hasn’t changed. Maybe even gotten better. This place does NOT disappoint. Cool spot around the corner from Pearl St Brewery. They give you the additions of Soy sauce, hoisin and some sriracha that you can add to your liking. But man- such a good broth!! Our favorite in Buffalo! Next time we swing through- we were told we NEED to try the fried rice and noodle dishes- but it will be HARD when we live that Pho so much!"
"Wonderful meal! The place was hard to find as the sign is behind parked cars, but it’s big and spacious inside - great service, and nice flavors (mix of Thai, Lao, Vietnamese) street parking is so convenient (a little difficult on a baseball game night) - highly recommend!"
"My partner and I visited and tried the Thai iced tea, pork dumplings fried rice, and udon. The beef udon was lovely, noodles were perfect with a little chew, super tender beef, and perfect level of spice. Fried rice had amazing flavor as well as texture with little crunch rice bits. Thai iced tea was perfect level of sweetness. We just moved to Buffalo from Boston and this is the best meal I've had in the city thus far. Can't wait to come back and try more!"
