"These guys are absolutely the best!"
"I have called 6 pharmacies trying to find one that has my child's medication since our typical pharmacy is out. Finally found "Family" Pharmacy who has the medication in stock, but would NOT fill it since we aren't previous customers. What an asset to the community and our children. Back to making phone calls hoping someone else has it."
"I have visited this pharmacy on several occasions over the last few weeks, as I have had frequent doctor visits in the last 1-2 months. On the last three occasions, ranging from mid-July to early August, none of the pharmacy staff are wearing facial coverings. Other than a sign posted on the door that most customers just ignore and a slim and narrow plexiglass barrier that a shared notepad is passed through for patients to sign for their prescriptions, COVID-19 precautions do not seem to be being followed. This is important to me as I have elderly and sick family members I care for. Once in late June or July, I also clearly heard the youngest pharmacist or pharmacy tech tell an elderly man in the store that he did not need to worry about the pandemic and wearing a mask "because it's just being exaggerated". This is negligent and potentially harmful to that man and others like him. Lastly, I switched to this pharmacy for the "family service" I was told about by other customers. However, any time I have a question on the phone or need to clarify something in person, the two women I have interacted with at the register have been curt, rude, dismissive or just downright unfriendly. Everyone has an off day, but this is a summary of 4-5 visits for my own medications, not even including picking up family members' medicines. The pharmacy has an online portal to transfer and refill medications, but when I called to ask if the transfer was completed, I was immediately cut off as the woman on the phone told me they had no online portal (which I had literally just completed) and that I had to bring the transferable prescription in person to actually transfer it. I was not able to even finish explaining that I had just completed the process electronically. Then, I went to do what she described, taking in the physical bottle, only to find the electronic transfer had gone through, but again, when I spoke to the woman at the register, and mentioned that I was unsure if the medicine was ready, she also cut me off (unsure if it was the same woman as was on the phone) and immediately cut to saying they had no online transfer process. I had loaded it on my phone just to make sure I wasn't "losing it" before entering, but did not have a chance to show her what I meant because she was rude and dismissive. Healthcare is hard enough to navigate, without this kind of treatment, and this kind of treatment was why I had switched from the chain pharmacies in the first place. It was not until the owner intervened that my actual prescription (that did indeed electronically transfer without me needing to bring it in) was located. The owner/main pharmacist and the young woman pharmacist or tech are both very personable and kind however. It is not all bad, and it would be unfair for me to portray it as so. I do believe he cares about his customers, and he remembers names and follows up with how people are doing in general, not just what medication or patient number they are. Additionally, the pricing is fair, and the wait is never long, often 30 minutes or less. I processed a refill through the online portal later, and it was ready by the next day (maybe sooner, the system does not notify you- but that's not the pharmacy's fault). While I want to support local business, I also want to be treated kindly and with respect, because I wouldn't be picking up medications if I wasn't dealing with some sort of pain or ailments to begin with. I also know everyone can have a bad day, and that many employees everywhere are doing the best they can. I am considering switching back to a chain for the convenience sake (text reminders, full online portals, notification that prescription is ready for pickup), if I'm going to be disrespected either place anyway. I also need to know that the places I'm picking up essentials are taking all the health precautions, when I'm responsible for taking care of others myself as well. We all want to make the best decisions for our families, so I only hope this may help others in similar situations make these hard decisions."
"Great pharmacy!! ....very personable....when you walk in you are greeted on a first name basis...and the longest I've waited for a script to be filled was 15 minutes...normally my wait for a script I am bringing in is about 3-5 minutes!! Thank you RW & Pam for your great customer service!!!! & Winston (the pharmacist's rescued German Shepherd) for always putting a smile on my face !! Y'all are the best!!!!"
"Everything. I been going to Family Pharmacy since they opened. R.W,mrs.Pam really care about me as a customer, patient, PERSON. When you go in its 15-20 minutes turn around. While you wait, they will be talking to you. How your doing? If not been in for a while, they notice & asking if something happened? I think alot"
