"It was a Saturday night and my boyfriend and I walked into Gallo. There was no one else in there which was already not a great sign. There were 3 young workers at the bar chatting away and didn’t even say hi, before another young girl came walking up to us and sat us. She didn’t say a word to us at all. Upon sitting down, we realized that the menu was extremely limited and we were not made aware that they weren’t serving their regular menu. We sat at our table for 5 minutes and no one had even come over to take a drink order or anything. It was a very uncomfortable atmosphere. This is not the first time that this has happened to us here before either. This has happened 2-3 times before. Very unfortunate as we used to love coming to Gather, but the last few times were a very disappointing experience. Sad to say, we will not be giving Gather another chance."
"Things have changed since we last visited Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen. We ordered a baked ziti and a pizza to share.both dishes were served in about 10 minutes. The pasta was bland and Luke warm, the pizza was soggy and bland. We asked for the pasta to be heated up they said we were going to get a fresh one… it arrived 15 minutes later, hot but very bland, no seasoning just bland tomatoes dumped over a small portion of pasta covered with pizza mozzarella cheese, about $4 of ingredients for $26. Very disappointing experience.. the bathrooms were dirty the servers were slow the music selection was depressing, I don’t know what happened to the place, after coming several times since the old location… we won’t be coming back or recommending it anymore."
"Unfortunately our greeting here by staff at the door was lackluster- no eye contact or greeting. However, despite a very long wait for food - the waiter has very hospitable and attentive. The food was definitely worth the wait - the best pizza in Lewiston."
"Visiting buffalo for the first time and this place has amazing food and delicious pizza, wasn’t to excited for the artichoke dip. But other than that this place was great."
"Found this place by accident while in WNY for lacrosse. Who can resist trying a coal fired kitchen. My wife and I ordered the meat lovers pizza. Watched the 'pizza guy' make the crust while I enjoyed a craft beer. The pizza oven was stacked with coal and it was cool to see the guy to Stoke it. The pizza was wonderful and we enjoyed it. The waitress was a true pro. Knew when to check in, was friendly (also a cutie too) and was great at her job. Will be back"
