"What a horrible experience. Will never return to this place — after being here multiple times, sitting outside, for some reason now we were not allowed to sit with our dog… outside. My boyfriend grew up coming here multiple times, with the family dog. This time we checked in and the host was kindly getting out table ready and then informed us that the owner said we couldn’t sit with our dog outside. That we had to tie him up outside the property. We mentioned we’ve been multiple times, and if we could speak to the owner that we’re sitting outside at the very end table and his response was “trust me, I did and he said absolutely not” .. remind you this is OUTSIDE, not inside the restaurant. What horrible hospitality. The owner couldn’t even come out himself and share why/how this had changed after years of coming. Shame on you, will not be retiring to a place like this. Should not be in the hospitality industry when you treat customers like that."

"Absolutely divine. A bunch of friends visiting from Toronto, went in, sat on the porch and indulged dinner: Oysters: fresh and tasty Clams appetisers: zesty, tasty, perfectly cooked Russian Eggs: inventive, with the best pickled cucumbers Smoked Walleye: unique. Homemade spaghetti with your choice of garnish: perfect. Wine pairing: judicious. Only reservation I had is where they seem to store their wines: red wine was served way too warm, like 75°F Pistachio cake was quirky, and tasty. Avoid the baked Alaska, a major miss. Other than that, this place totally rules ! Service is great and you will meet some locals there."

"We went to the hotel for dinner for our anniversary. The server was very nice. The food was terrible. I ordered linguine and clam sauce. The linguine was pasty and the clams were obviously from a can. When we ordered drinks, I asked for a Vodka martini. They didn’t have any vodka. I then asked for a seven and seven and they didn’t have the ingredients to make that either. Won’t go back."

"A few friends and I went on a week night for dinner and drinks. The building is beautiful and the porch was a perfect spot to sit and have dinner. I was underwhelmed by the menu selection. While there was enough variety, I didn't think that the options (sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc.) matched the ambience of the hotel. The wine menu was limited and none of the white wine that we ordered came chilled. The food itself was cooked well and tasted good."
