"Extremely unprofessional. This should have been a seamless closing through Zillow that turned into a nightmare because of their irresponsible lack of competency. We ended up scrambling the day before closing to get the down payment funds for our new home because Costner forgot to do a title search until it was too late, which caused us to not be able to close on the house we were selling and then use the proceeds to close on our new home. On top of our closing being delayed for 6 days, which also resulted in missing work after having just taken off time to move, they dragged their feet to get the proceeds check. I had to leave work early 2 days in a row. Then, the receptionist/secretary (Lisa) refused to give me the proceeds check because I had "an attitude" with her. I ended up having to call the Raleigh Police Department because she refused to return my ID or issue my check. Thankfully, the police were able to get my ID and check in my hand within another 30 minutes but it was a horrifying experience!"
"Very easy closing! Had a private office to go over everything w us and even had coffee. Responded to my calls/emails as needed throughout the purchase process in a timely manner too. Thank you!"
"We had special circumstances on the day of our closing and Costner Law was happy to adjust to those. Efficient and seamless experience."
"Had a horrible experience with Costner Law handling the closing of our house through Zillow. It was back to back issues with them, not just one thing. They cost us both time and money in the end, and were very unprofessional. The receptionists were the only ones we had a decent experience with. Do youself a favor and find another law firm to handle your closing."
"Unprofessional. What should have been a seamless, smooth home closing with Zillow turned into a nightmare of hiccups that could have been avoided if Costner had communicated better. Hard to get a hold of, not able to answer questions, our closing was delayed because of their irresponsibility and lack of proper communication."
