"There was plenty of parking show up about 45min to an hour and a hald before peak low tide to make the most of your day. This place is a shelling dream! The water this year has been totally clear absolutely beautiful. Excellent for little ones that are not afraid of the water. Lots of places to let them play and not worry as much about waves. We did mermaid photos at the point and they turned out soo cute."
"This is perfection at sunset! Little crabs running everywhere, kids are playing at the water’s edge… I adore it here!"
"This is high tide but during low tide the place fills up on windy days with people and boats. Fishing off the point is pretty good with live shrimp at high tide. Squid works ok but the croakers were getting to it first most of the time. There were a group of guys that were wading after dark as the tide was going out and catching fish in the current. It was just dark enough I could not make out what species they were targeting. The fish appeared to be anywhere from 12 - 18 inches and were grease lightning pulling their drag upon the initial hookup. There were only 8 people out there as darkness fell. Good fishing to all!"
"So magical watching the sunset from here. There were hardly any people here, so all you could hear were the waves and witness the changing of the sky. It was magnificent. Highly recommend. Get here early because there’s not much public parking."
"One of the most beautiful spots on the island! Shallow water on one side, so great for little ones. Lots of shells and beautiful views. Parking can be limited during peak season weekends, but weekdays in off season seem pretty quiet. Sometimes boats gather here and park on the beach to party in summer. There are porta potties and an outdoor shower near the parking area."
