Hobbs Family Campground

"We spent 7 months camping at Hobbs Family Farm and Campground. It is a bare bones campground at the moment, but Mr. Hobbs is adding amenities all the time. We loved being out in the country. It is so peaceful and very quiet. You can actually look up in the sky and see the stars at night. Mr. Hobbs has all kinds of farm animals that you can admire. The donkeys are so friendly. They will come right up to you for you to give them a rub behind the ears. If you are looking for something long term, short term, or a quick stopover, this is the place to go. It is right on the Waccamaw River. There is even a boat ramp for you to put your boat in the river and go fishing. Or, you can fish right from the bank. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the great scenery along the Waccamaw River. You definitely need to check them out."

"This is my first time staying here at Hobbs Family Campground, but it wont be my last. I needed a campground to stay at while I work here in the Grand Strand, and friends told me how much they loved staying at Hobbs Campground. I don't need swimming pools and putt putt golf where I camp, those things just run up the cost of the sites. Hobbs has everything you need, and none of what you dont need, therefore the cost is very reasonable. The one thing Hobbs Campground definitely has, is very friendly people, clean and level sites, and a quiet country setting. I will be making Hobbs Campground my regular place to stay when I am in town working."

"This family run campground was just what we needed. There are 3 lots, we stayed in campground C. The other reviews were right, the folks treat you like family. Anything you need they will make happen. The plus to my weekend was to have Donkeys right next to our site. They loved the carrots and the little donkey gets out and hangs out at your campsite."

"Beautiful campground with large sites with water/electricity and dump access. Probably the best internet access I’ve ever had at a campground. The well maintained grounds are a slice of serenity or maybe heaven. Owners are accommodating, friendly and are available to be of assistance. At night, you have a light show to savour. Love the ponds and burrows, ducks, and chickens. Bring your fishing rod for some fishing in the river. I cannot say enough good about this place."
