Reviews of Fort Wilderness RV Park
"This is a shady place. At night they come around and turn off your water. Electric always goes out. Meth dealers everywhere. Sadly kept campground. You can actually tell the tenants are the dregs! And the handyman is a homeless man that has no clue what’s going on. I would rather sleep under a bridge than stay here again. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. YOU WILL REGRET IT!"
"Very pleasant staff but poorly maintained park for the price. No level sites, Most sites very small. Not enough amenities for the number of full time RVs. Many have tents and sheds attached to them, spilling over into other sites. Would not visit again."
"We rented one of the smaller cabins and found it to be clean and comfortable and had a half bath, microwave, and fridge. The bathhouse was just across from us and it was also clean. Some reviews were negative but I was impressed with the whole park. Beautiful pool, close to many attractions, quiet, and friendly. This is where I'm going from now on. One fun surprise was a little band of chickens wandering around the park. I loved them!!!"
"The sites were not level just gravel and dirt. Had to dig out area for my steps to sit level and thee door not stick when opening or closing the door. Had to dig out around my slide out on the camper so it was not digging into the ground. The trash dumpster was overflowing and piled on the ground. The entrance onto the driveway was a U-turn onto a narrow road that at points was only wide enough for 1 vehicle to pass at a time and one of them would have to backup or go into a private drive so the other person could get by. The campground was nothing like their website depicted it with pull thru and level sites .while I enjoyed the area and the quietest of the campground I will not be going to them again unless they do some major improvements."
"Beautiful view from spot 60, however we found the site to be dirty. Nails and bolts all over, they had a heavy wood plank as a retaining wall that kept falling over and actually landed on my mothers leg. And no parking at this site, we had to park either at the next site over or down the hill a bit. Woke up to no power due to the plug burning up and shorting out. the burn ring is a car rim, very hard to get a fire going. The pool was closed often mid day, the dumpsters were overflowing. Never seen staff around and when we found the owner to tell him about the retaining wall he acted like it was no big deal! About a hour later someone came to the site and said they would put rebar into it, but then just removed it. There is Nothing for the kids to do other than the small playground and the pool. The “camp store” was not fully stocked. The game room was gross and stuff was broken, Will not stay here again."
