"I thoroughly enjoyed the food here. I've only had the tonkatsu ramen but I was very happy with the flavor profile. The broth strongly aligns with the traditional japanese flavors which is more mild but heavy. The takoyaki and tempura shrimp was enjoyable too. The tempera was nicely fried with plenty of flavor. Please ignore the reviews that say there are not enough spice jars and/or additional seasoning. The focus of this place is japanese ramen - not southeast asian mi. Very glad this place chose Hickory as it's home. I'm just happy that I don't have to drive to Charlotte/Raleigh just for Japanese ramen. Hope to see this restaurant grow and show the Hickory area that asian cuisine is more than just sriracha, tom yum, and hoisin sauce! edit: OH! AND THE EGGS! I've never had hard boiled eggs so perfectly cooked before - 10/10."
