Reviews
"Not sure why all the bad reviews. Some seem a little weird too. Everytime I'm there everyone is always super helpful and willing to lend a helping hand whether it's job related or referring me to resources. Just a suggestion if you have an issue let the Manager know she is super helpful and always willing to help. That would be the human thing to do. The world definitely needs more kindness."
"I had fun with the NCWorks Career Center while I was there. I found NCWorks to be very generous and kind people. They were gracious enough to buy me some food and things I needed for survival. However, one day while I was there, still fraternizing with them, I noticed one of their workers put a cooling bandana on which the staff of NC Works had bought for me. This cooling bandana reappeared when I went to the laundry mat. So if NCWorks wanted to give me a gift, why would they steal it from me, and then bring it back to me? I suppose they wanted to prove that I would wash my own clothing with my own money to "earn" the gift back that they had purchased for me. I am homeless and struggling for employment. This is no way to treat someone who is seeking a job. If she wanted to borrow the cooling bandana they purchased for me, all she had to do was ask me. I have seen worse things at NCWorks, though that is not worth going into at the moment. When you buy a gift for someone, you are not supposed to steal it back. That is contrary to the spirit of generosity. Theft is theft. Playing "pranks" on an individual suffering from homelessness and financially struggling is not a way to make friends. It is a way to alienate people and confuse those who are already struggling to pave a new path in their life."
"as the guy in front of me said at least they could I'm stopping they need to be open........PERIOD. filed 2 times they put my reason for leaving wrong not once but twice that's the people on the phone it's been worthless to me. NEED TO ACTUALLY SIT AND TALK TOO SOMEONE. Been 6 months now not got 1 cent from nc. bs"
"All the people trying to file unemployment because of vivid-19 and this place is closed can't even answer the phone. Piss poor if you ask me. Yes they gave numbers to call but can't get a hold of them."
"Seen where I could pick up an application for a job I was interested in. I currently have a job but was interested in this particular one. Older blonde lady behind the counter was very rude and wouldn’t give me the app without being in their system. I am In the system but she still refused. I went to another facility and picked up the app. I thought this was a facility that is supposed to help people. Not be rude every time someone goes in there. I’ve been in a few years ago and encountered the same lady"
