"These guys are the best! We booked a ride with another car service for an early morning pickup and they didn’t show and we called AVL rides and the guy was there in two minutes and got us to the airport on time! We will always use them! Great service!!"
"What an interesting way to see Asheville - from a literary perspective! Sarah and Jimmy went beyond Thomas Wolfe with this immersive tour, using audio clips and images to bring the tour to life. Put on your walking shoes and get ready to see the sights and learn fascinating (and some downright weird) facts about all things wordy in AVL."
"The AVL Lit Tour is great fun regardless of how well-versed you are about literature and writers. Jimmy and Sara infuse humor and Asheville trivia into their presentation so well that anyone with the slightest interest in writers and the stories behind those who write stories will be well-entertained and informed. Visitors to Asheville who wish to get the feel of this unique mountain town will definitely experience the full Asheville vibe—the buskers, the architecture, the delicious scents from an array of restaurants—it’s all there. As a local, I was pleasantly surprised to find that even when I smugly congratulated myself on thinking I knew all about a topic that our guides shared, they taught me something new! Every time! Genuinely entertaining!"
"Tour hosts Jimmy and Sarah have been immersed in the literary history of Asheville for a long time and it shows. The tour was an hour and a half but at no point along the way did I hope it was shorter. I loved the multi-media presentation and the inclusion of a lot of contemporary authors along with historic names like Zelda Fitzgerald and Thomas Wolfe. I also really liked that the tour ended in the place where it began, making it much easier for people unfamiliar with the downtown area to navigate. Great tour, highly recommended."
