"Wish I could give more than five stars in this review. This is a top notch outfit. We have tubed, kayaked and rafted with a ton of places in NC, WV, VA and TN. Rocky Forest seemed to have learned all of the best things from all of them! They have quality equipment (wilderness systems kayaks, protubes, etc) and very attentive owners and staff. They are hands on with every customer and take every step to make sure you are comfortable. We had never used a tandem tube before and when I called all of my questions were easily answered. This is one hard working family! We will definitely be back. The trip on the Yadkin was a lot like the James River. Wider, slow moving, and very relaxing!! Great 24th anniversary trip for us! Added them to our RV sticker wall!!!!"
"We had a great experience on the Yadkin River with this company. They were friendly, affordable and efficient. You can choose your "vessel": kayak, canoe or tube and the length of your trip. We opted for the 2.5hr trip. They dropped us off at the municipal boat ramp at Crater Park. Then we were free to paddle/float at our own pace. They met us at their own riverfront dock where they helped us out of our boats and gave us a short 4-wheeler ride back to the office where our car was parked. Highly recommend."
"Love this place! Very nice and friendly people. Worked us in short notice. Very happy to help w loading and unloading our equipment. It was our first kayak trip. They covered our life jackets, kayaks, and paddles. We felt confident chosing them to do our river trip. Both my husband and I enjoyed it! Will definitely be back!"
"My wife and I went tubing and had a wonderful experience! They are professional and clean. It was our first public outing since late February. Everyone wore a mask on the shuttle ride to the launch point. And there was an empty row in between each group to ensure social distancing. The actual tubing part was a blast and loved that when we were done, we got right up on the dock and could walk to the car to leave. No extra interaction required. Will definitely be back! Thanks RFRR for a great adventure."
