"A good place to stop for visitors entering Virginia. Virginia has 12 welcome centers stationed strategically at the entrances to the state along the major Interstates. This one is located on the northbound interstate 77 less than a mile from the North Carolina and Virginia border. It is also known as the Lambsburg Rest Area. There is plenty of parking. As you exit the interstate, the car parking (including cars with Trailers) is to the left (closest to the road) and the truck parking is to the right. Cars with trailer parking is just beyond the car parking but could probably also park with the trucks in the back of the site. Two separate buildings are of an older design. One building is for the restrooms and the other serves as their welcome center. There are lots of trees along the site providing lots of shade. They have a large “Love” sign outside on the lawn that many people seem to pose next to for pictures The bathrooms were clean. In the Welcome Center building the people were very friendly and even though it may not be as big as other similar centers there were a lot of maps and “Va is for lovers” on merchandise. It is a nice, pleasant place to stop if you are visiting the area."
"Beautiful place to stop and stretch walk around .very clean has alot of Information at the attached visitors center"
"For a reststop, this place is clean. Wow I like how their government cares about a public restroom. Also a pet area for my dogs to do their Thang. Thank you for a clean place."
"This is a great place to relax, gather some information, take a rest room break or relax under one of the many shade trees and have a picnic lunch on one of the many picnic tables that are available. Plenty of vending machines in case you forgot to pack a lunch. The staff in the visitor's center are extremely friendly, and they are very eager to help you with any questions you have. And, they are great resource for telling about attractions that you may not even know about. There are at least 20 big rig sites in the back."
"The staff here was awesome. The guy checked on the bathrooms and greeted everyone. They have a cool kid and parent toddler toilet in the same stall so parents can let kids use a kid toilet. Never seen one of those before. Very nice. They were busy plowing the snow as we got there and the whole time since it was coming down hard. Staff warned about slick floors even though the signs were out and there was 6 inches of snow on the ground but it was nice that he takes the job serious. Very courteous."
