"I payed $1500.00 to represent my mother in a restraining order case which she insisted that I needed representation. Never having been in this situation I took her advise. I met with her for approximately 20 minutes and then found out from another attorney and the Magistrate that I did not need an attorney for this case. When I told her the next day that I did not need her to represent us in this case and that my elderly mother could not afford this money if it could be handled by the court judge. I asked for my money to be refunded.She never responded to multiple phone calls and messages left. 3 weeks later I received an invoice for over $950.00 for 4 phone calls of which I only spoke with her 1 time on the phone for 3 minutes and I have phone records as proof of this. In addition she charged me $375.00 for an hour consultation which was only 20 minutes. On the invoice the dates of service and phones calls did not reflect the correct dates of phone calls or the 20 minute consultation."
