"Poor quality refinishing. Do not buy here."

"I purchased a dresser from Arlene on Facebook market place and she was barely responsive from the get-go. She didn’t even tell me it was a business with no signage so I was driving around forever! Finally, the nice men working there helped me get the dresser into my car, but the paint job is HORRENDOUS. It’s chalkboard paint?! I didn’t notice how bad it was until I got home. The color immediately wiped off on my sweater! The dresser was streaked, scratched, and nicked just from moving it into the house and placing a lamp on top. Definitely not furniture grade paint and no seal or shellac. My friend called it a “pig with lipstick” craft job. I very nicely let Arlene know I wasn’t happy with the purchase (it was way overpriced for the abysmal quality - my fault) and asked what kind of paint she used so I can go buy some to fix it. She ignored me. I followed up a few days later and still nada reply. I love leaving positive reviews especially for local businesses, but I felt the need to give other potential buyers a BEWARE when working with this woman. Maybe Arlene will read this and reach out to remedy the situation. Based on my experience thus far I won’t hold my breath."

"I just want to say carefully examine anything you buy from here. Seller just slaps paint on furniture but does not do a good job. Sold me a piece with rippled water damage, over sanded top with worn edges, missing trim pieces, and lots of wood rot. I only found all the damage after taking it home. I now have to fill everything with wood putty and repaint it. I’m honestly so upset that someone would sell a piece in such terrible condition. Buyer beware. - Like I said, I did not see the damage until I was able to see it in bright lights. I do not buy furniture everyday. But thank you for telling me I have no common sense."
