"Cabinets were seemingly ordered before all the current slow downs (11-13 weeks ago) and neither us nor our builder can get an update on where they are or when they could be expected. The only feedback has been vague and useless feedback like "those were ordered before the slow down, not sure what is going on" and "we won't know anything until they land on our dock." In this day and age, not not knowing where something is or at the very least, the internal project manager knowing what stage of the process they are in is an example of gross negligence. There are plenty of challenges with supply chains, materials, and workforce. This can be understood and forgiven. Not having any line of sight or simply lying to cover something up cannot. Regardless of quality, we would never use this company again under any circumstances. They have made our home build a complete nightmare. Never in my life have I met a project manager, in any industry, that cannot tell you where things are with their projects. Bad news is far better than covering up every time. The way this company responds to reviews is also very telling. When accolades come there way, they are happy to chime in and bask in the admiration. When there are obvious issues, it is brushed under the rug. Approach with caution."
"Not about the work but the company My husband works for Markraft and our family has dealt with covid in the passed few weeks. We were so afraid that we wouldn't be able to pay our bills but we were able to quarantine safely and less stressed since they have covid pay. We have all been cleared and out of quarantine but I am unfortunately having severe post covid issues and have been in and out of the ER and doctors. My amazing husband has had so many sleepless nights helping me, taking me back and forth, and caring for our children as we don't have much support. It seems like we cannot get our heads above water. I've said all that to say that the company has been extremely understanding and accommodating through all of this. I just wanted to say how thankful I am for that."
"I shopped at a few companies for my kitchen project and I decided to go with Apex Cabinets. If you walk in here just to get a quote, this is not the place. I was amazed by their customer service! I had an appointment with their designer Pat Everett and she walked me through the entire process. She took her time and explained everything to me as it was my first time. The other companies didn't provide me this opportunity. They assumed I had done this before. Pat couldn't talk about pricing until she had a design in place which was understandable. She came to my house, took measurements and we talked about my wishlist. She educated me on the different options. From start to finish, Pat was very responsive and extremely detail-oriented. She's everything you require of a designer/sales person and is honest, as well! Apex Cabinets won my business because of the excellent customer service! I couldn't have done this project without the wonderful Pat Everett! An amazing designer! Thank you for my new beautiful kitchen!"
"We recently built a new house and spent a large amount of our budget to upgrade our kitchen cabinets. We've had multiple issues with our cabinets... and the process of getting those issues fixed has been going on for months. Apex cabinets has been out to our house multiple times, and every time we're told something different. The cabinet around our apron front sink was cut the wrong size, then pieced together with filler pieces that didn't match. We were told a new piece had been ordered and waited weeks to have someone come back out to install it. My husband took off work to meet the person from Apex Cabinets, only to have someone come tell us they don't actually make a piece to fit around our sink. The cabinet beside our stove wasn't measured for correctly, so of course our stove wouldnt fit. Instead of moving the cabinet, our full overlay cabinet was trimmed down on one side. As a result, the cabinet door can't fully open because it hits against the stove, and our soft close drawer can't actually close because of the same reason. Just to top it all off, our cabinets were touched up with colors that don't actually match our cabinet color, so in certain lighting it just looks like we have smudges all over our cabinets. I've seriously never written a bad review about anything, but I don't want anyone to have our same experience. The way these issues have been handled is absolutely ridiculous... and completely unacceptable. I would expect a company like Apex Cabinets to take a lot more pride in their final product."
"My husband and I used Apex Cabinet for our master bathroom remodel. We worked with Billy. Billy promised us a quote a few days after we met with him. After multiple emails to follow up, my husband had to start getting aggressive to get a response. We told Billy we wanted our cabinet height to be 42" tall. Billy came and measured. When the cabinet came in, it was 50" tall with the countertop and legs, partially blocking a light switch. We informed the installer the cabinet was the incorrect height, but Billy insisted the installer ignore our requests, drill holes in our walls, and move forward with installation. We had to pay our contractor to remove the piece, repair and repaint the wall (no small feat on a cathedral ceiling). The misordered cabinet and damage delayed our project. No apology was ever offered. They never templated the countertop for our freestanding cabinet, so it is crooked to this day. I called Apex Cabinet at least 20 times during this process to see if we could work with anyone except Billy, they continually ignored my requests. When we finally gave up fighting with them, they emailed us an amount due that was completely unrelated to and significantly more than any estimate we'd seen. When we brought this to their attention we received no response. We finally sent them the remaining balance as we understood it, again without receiving a response. I was so exhausted with this company, I stopped fighting. If you care about quality, customer service, or your time and project schedule, I would recommend using another company for your cabinet needs. What really bothers me is there are no other negative reviews for this company. Maybe they treat most of their customers well, but you might find yourself in our boat."
