"Will NEVER buy another product!! I have been burning Nest candles for years, and have shopped online for gifts and home decor. I was so excited to visit the Nest in Wilmington for gift shopping. I went into the store with my adult son, who happens to be biracial, and his girlfriend. An associate followed them around the store, and then stood directly behind them while they were looking at small perfume sprays. I watched from a distance, just to be sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. My sons girlfriend did buy a perfume, and happy she did, because she loved it. I laid my items down, and left empty handed, as I will NEVER spend another dollar on Nest products. Very disappointing, I was very offended by the assumption that my son would steal anything from their store. Never again, Nest. NEVER!"

"Me and my brother we’re watched as soon as we walked in . And we’re stereotype My mother is white and actually walked as well . When me and my brother were looking at candles . The manger and con worker made eye contact and the lady stayed around and made it a little obvious . As soon as I look back . The co worker is right behind us damn near . My mom who is white watched the whole thing and wasn’t treated the same . Funny thing is my mom wanted to spend hundreds on gifts for her girlfriends while there . After the incident she and us will not spend a $1 . It’s sad because I felt we were past being judge by the way we looked. We went next store and spent our money there instead . I can’t believe I have to even do this type of review but very frustrated being treated a way for how I look . Won’t be back"

"Very nice staff.. very very unique items~ if you looking for something unusual ~something classy~ this is the place! Love their chargers~ want to check back there before the holidays~ this unique. A little bit of everything ~even saw some fox stolls~ for an evening out ✓ Come to find out?? they do upholstery work! A room full of all material types and sorts and etc also I will be going back for this service myself! And then ~this team has a consultation team for private home decor~ consulting & orchestrating! Check these ladies out ~I'm in belief~if you leave it in these ladies hands ~they would deliver your fantasic thought to reality!"

"I visited the store a little over a year ago. The customer service was a far cry from good but I chalked up the experience to personnel having a bad day. My daughter and I recently returned to the store. I promote shopping locally and I was excited to do a re-design in our home. Again, the experience was awful. The employees were rude and offered no assistance to us, however, they did offer help to other customers in the store. Even after approaching both employees for assistance we were "sized up" and were given short, unhelpful answers. It was clear we were not welcome in the store. I decided to take my re-design elsewhere and although more expensive it was worth every penny. We are loving our new furniture and decor thanks to Grace Williams and Caroline Youngdale at Furnitureland South. They have won numerous awards in Southern Living magazine and more! They were able to pull together our home in a way that far exceeds Nest. So all in all I'm thankful it happened. Pretty things only go so far... great customer service and kindness is worth far more and earns not only a reputable business but repeated business."

"My mom bought me expensive champagne glasses for Christmas explaining to the sales girl there that I lived outside of town and would not be getting the present until mid January or later. She said that it was no problem and that we could bring them back and exchange them if I didn’t like them. When we tried to exchange them for rocks glasses, we were told that we could only have returned them or exchanged them four days after the initial purchase even though they were still selling the exact same champagne glasses. Needless to say, we will not be purchasing anything there again."
