Reviews of Delia's Kitchen Family Restaurant
"No frills restaurant that makes excellent Honduran food (similar to Mexican kinda). Family owned and operated. If you haven’t tried, 10,000% worth stopping by! The owner is the chef (she did a wonderful job making the food. Her recipes are great but it can take awhile for food to come out since everything is made to order). We tried a ton of stuff on the menu, tacos, quesadillas, burrito, fried fish, Honduran chicken, fried porkchop. All were amazing. They also have a pool table which is fun"
"I had the pleasure of visiting Delia's Kitchen Family Restaurant on 3rd Avenue South in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to celebrate their 1-year anniversary, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. My journey with this restaurant began a year ago, shortly after their grand opening, and I've been consistently impressed ever since. Delia's Kitchen Family Restaurant offers a unique and exceptional culinary journey with dishes that I've never encountered anywhere else. Every time I walk through their door, I can count on her being in the kitchen, putting her heart and soul into each meal. The atmosphere at Delia's Kitchen Family Restaurant is like dining with close friends, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. Their commitment to crafting everything from scratch in-house truly shines through in every bite. The flavors of Latin Honduran cuisine are perfectly captured here, making it the ultimate destination for comfort food enthusiasts. The convenience of a large, free parking lot and a consistently clean restaurant adds to the overall experience. The spacious interior provides ample room for diners to enjoy their meals comfortably. As for the menu, the chicken tacos are a personal favorite of mine – they are nothing short of amazing. Delia's pupusas, those delectable little cornmeal cakes filled with cheese and meat, are an absolute highlight and arguably the best I've ever had. And let's not forget the horchata; I'm usually quite selective with my horchata, but Delia's rendition has won me over completely. Having dined here numerous times over the past year, I can confidently say that each visit has been a culinary adventure filled with exceptional dishes and warm hospitality. Delia's Kitchen Family Restaurant is a true gem in Myrtle Beach, and I eagerly look forward to many more memorable meals in the future. Congratulations on your 1-year anniversary, Delia's Kitchen Family Restaurant – you've created something truly special! From one year ago....This place just opened up. Big clean parking lot lots of room to park. The inside restaurant was clean and inviting, the staff were friendly helpful attentive and knowledgeable. The Honduran fried Chicken was phenomenal the spice and flavor combination was perfection, we enjoyed the fried plantains and the veggie sides, I got three tacos the shells are homemade and delicious the tacos were delicious as a combo I had a chicken, beef, ground beef. They were delicious good tacos. I plan to have the chimichanga soon because it looked really good! I got a few other things on the menu I am looking forward to try as well! They just opened they've still got a few things to work out they'll probably add a few more tables in the dining room currently you got plenty of room in the dining room for more tables. They also have an outdoor patio area that they will get seating for and it will be dog friendly. So come give our newest homemade made from scratch restaurant. We have eaten here 4 times in last week. We love the place!"
"First time trying Honduran food (although it doesn't seem drastically different from Salvadorian food). Very tasty. Everything you're reading about the fried chicken is true. It's savory, juicy, and delicious. I would get it again. The empanadas were great as well. The cheese one, despite its simplicity, was our favorite. Their salsa verde was delicious as well."
"We arrived on a Monday at 8pm and the owner opened the door for us, greeted us and had us pick out a table in the empty restaurant. The waitress, daughter of owner, instantly took our drink order and came back shortly with our 2 Machatas and have us reccomendation. Suggestion was for Honduran fried chicken or flautas de pollo with her favorite recommendation being the chicken tacos. We went with the flautas de pollo and fried chicken. Very delicious. Slaw was fresh simple and great. Pickled red onion vegetable mix was a good compliment. Fried plantains were generous portion and excellent. Overall the plane was clean. Food was fresh. And service was friendly and efficient. During our visit they had a few take out orders and another party came in to eat. 5 out of seven stars for a perfect score. Especially nice at this time of the year. Great portion and we were unable to finish the meal because we were full."
"Ordered Flautas de Pollo. There was watery sauce at the base of plate, and I thought probably this sauce made fried tortilla soggy, but tortilla was still crunchy and stuffed meat had so much flavour. When I took a bite and as I chew on it, it had me close my eyes naturally cause it tasted so good :) Steak in beef taco was a bit tough and I'm not so sure, maybe it's just me, it smelt a little. I'm gonna tey again taco next time with different meat. Horchata was not too sweet which makes it perfect. The horchata I used to drink in New York was too sweet and for that, I didn't like it, but here Horchata really enrich whole course of meal. Served with nach chips for appetizer. Total $22 and some change w/tax."
