"The Pondview guesthouse is a wonderful place to get away from it all! Peter is the nicest host! My husband and I stayed for a weekend but we wish we could have stayed longer. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable. It was a great place for me to de-stress. We are hoping to go back later this year and bring my teenage daughter along. 8/6/23 We brought my daughter along and she was impressed. Once again, Peter was kind. He brought us many veggies from his garden. Including spicy peppers that my husband loved. We also got to meet Peter's wife Kathleen this time. What a sweetheart too. We will definitely be making this our offical go-to spot for a nearby getaway."

"I have been there 4 times over the past 8 or 9 years with various people. If you want cell service and TV, this is not for you. If you want to be a quarter mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway, hike, do puzzles, fish, see Mabry Mill, and center yourself? This is for you. Peter and Kathleen are amazing people. Matter of fact, Leter built this cabin. It's on a large piece of land with trails and a spring-fed fishing pond. The cabin is immaculate. The top half of it is line with windows. The stars are crisp and the air is clean. I've centered myself there many-a-time. I've hiked til I was sore and warmed myself by the wood burning fireplace many-a-time. The owners will help you with anything. The place is beautiful. The surrounding area is amazing. I dare you to have a bad time there."
