"Service was quick and easy my husband took less than 30 minutes to complete and submit his passport application."
"For those of you who voted Crystal Gilliard into the role of Union County, NC Register of Deeds, here's a little taste of what you voted for: today, after going to their office a dozen times to get passports processed, and being told each time that I needed something new, and they only do passports a few hrs/day in the middle of the day, we arrived before the 4pm cutoff & were verbally berated & intimidated by the KAREN you elected. Made to feel unprepared, like we were an inconvenience, and criticized for arriving at 3:58, when we both work in schools... after driving 30mins each way a dozen times over the past 2 months. Everyone else in that office is super pleasant, but your ELECTED OFFICIAL, info she snarled at us once we refused to allow her to speak to us as if we were children, was an absolute and utterly horrible human in this encounter. Voting matters, folks."
"Nothing but negative experiences. We have gone a minimum of five times. Each time we are told inaccurate information. Today the "elected official" aka register of deeds aka Crystal Gilliard SCREAMED at my sister because we arrived at 3:55 ( they are open till 4 despite the website stating they are open till 5pm) she threatened to have us escorted out because we continued to explain that we had already been told "alternate information" on Thursday when we came. When we walked in Ms. Gilliard rolled her eyes, looked at the clock and immediately greeted us with absolute disgust. We obviously were interfering with her ability to leave her elected position in a timely manner. So much for the citizens of the county, I guess. My sister and I both work in schools and are at work long before Ms. Gillard arrives at her office to start seeing people. We have to scramble to make it within minutes of Ms. Gillards departure time and hope and pray we have everything. Today we did! All the way down to the pre-filled money order. But since the elected official decided she didn't want to be bothered - she instead screamed and threw her phone in a tantrum. #VOTE"
"I had a really terrible experience with this office when obtaining my marriage license. I applied online ahead of time, researched everything I needed to bring, and was ready to go. When I arrived, the guy at the front desk was super rude and immediately said we have an issue. I have two legal middle names on my birth certificate and social security card that match. However, when getting my driver's license, the NC DMV only allowed the first middle name on my license. Because of the second one missing, they refused to issue me my marriage license. I was getting married the following morning, so this was really not good. I tried explaining the DMV situation, but he continued to cut me off and just talk over me. He said to go to Cabarrus County an hour away and they'd happily file it...made no sense. I ended up calling Cabarrus County, and they said that it definitely isn't a problem and have no idea why they were denying me, and they issued my marriage license within 5 minutes. I would avoid this place if there is any concern with names matching on documents!"
